I recently stayed at Bitra Guesthouse and was very pleased with my experience. The guesthouse is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful. The location is peaceful and quiet, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The price is very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the accommodations and the excellent breakfast included. Overall, I would highly recommend Bitra Guesthouse to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay in Selfoss. Here are some of the highlights of my stay: Cleanliness: The guesthouse was impeccably clean, from the rooms to the shared spaces. Comfort: My room was comfortable and cozy, with a plush bed and ample storage space. Welcome: The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Nice and clean room very comfortable great location for the northern lights Only downside to our stay was the shared kitchen when the only night we cooked for ourselves there wasn't any clean crockery as the dishwasher was stacked up and hadn't been put on cycle so had to was dishes before we could cook

This house is simply amazing. Spacy, comfortable. We were five adults and there was lot of space for everybody. The bonus is hot tube. The place is perfect for exploring the south part of Iceland. This place is also perfect for watching Aurora in the night. Helga, the owner is very kindly and helpfull, she gave to us several advices.

    I was a bit sceptical when I found quite a few critical reviews. In the end, I booked a bed in the biggest dorm with 8 beds, of which only 2 were used that night. + The location is pretty good. + The bed was decent. It was not a very comfortable one but it was okay for the night + Bathrooms were clean + Kitchen was clean + Place was very quiet + Shades in bedroom worked well with the sun always being up in August + Free parking in front of the house + Price (40€ for one night) was okay for Iceland

    Friendly staff, pretty cool location on the river, and were helpful with everything we needed with our baby. Also, there's a place selling fried hot dogs out in the parking lot which was rad.

    The location is a horse farm, 6km from Selfoss town. Easy to find. The collection of buildings and rooms is neat and smart. My single room was small but quite suitable. There was a small refrigerator in it.The bathroom immediately next door had a heated towel rail so rinsed clothes dried quickly. The common kitchen area was pleasant and well equipped, although some pots/pans didn't suit the induction cooking top. Lots of car parking.

    A pleasant hotel in a good location to stay for a night during our touring trip. Modern, clean and comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff and a decent selection of food for breakfast. We enjoyed it. Free parking in the car park(which was full when we arrived), and on the road at the front. An easy walk to see the river and the interestingly renovated town centre. We ate at nearby Tryggvaskali Restaurant on the evening. It was superb!
