Our stay at Zen & Bed was absolutely exceptional in every way. The tea ceremony was a fascinating and authentic experience, meticulously conducted with great attention to detail. We also participated in a Zazen meditation session, which was both professional and insightful. The monk guiding the session was incredibly patient and attentive, using a translation app to ensure clear communication while answering all our questions thoughtfully. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed, reflecting the minimalist and elegant aesthetics of Japanese culture. Both the vegetarian dinner and breakfast were outstanding—delicious, carefully prepared, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients that enhanced the spiritual experience. In the evening, we enjoyed a relaxing soak in a nearby onsen, which was the perfect way to unwind and complement our stay. The next morning, the monk gave us an insightful tour of the temple, sharing fascinating stories about Buddhism, temple life, and the history of the site. If you're looking for a genuinely authentic, immersive, and deeply enriching Japanese experience, this is the perfect place. A perfect blend of spirituality, culture, and traditional hospitality—highly recommended!

Staffs especially the young laday is very helpful and friendly. The morning view of Fuji mountain from our room window is stunning. Also the room is quiet just about 10 minutes by taxi from the station.

First of all let me preface this with following information: This is the owners house. He lives on the second floor. Now when this is out of the way I cannot reccomend this enough. This is a really good lodging for its money and the owner is super nice. He picked us up at the station and even drove us to local hot springs and restaurants. He also took us close to Mt. Fuji (that costed around 5000 yen for gas) and we visited a hot spring from which we gazed at Mt. Fuji. Owner knows a bit of English and was super accommodating. Though it will help a lot if you know at least a little japanese.

We love how big the home and backyard is. There's plenty of space in the courtyard to park our car. The mini-golf driving range was awesome. Our puppy had a blast running around and playing to release his energy. The home was spotlessly clean, and had plenty of bedrooms. The shower room and toilets are all immaculate. It's located in a quiet neighbourhood. We had a great exerience of country side living with modern amenities. Thank you for your hospitality. We look forward to doing business with you again.

I had a great stay! I mistakenly went to the wrong property branch by following google maps which was like a 20-mins walk away . When I called them, the manager himself came to pick me up by his car to drop me at the right place. The facilities were more than sufficient for a solo traveller to rest for a night and the building was so lovely with a cozy, traditional Japanese touch.
