It was off season, skiing has finished and tracks aren't opened (mid April) so essentially we had the whole place to ourselves. Beautiful location and surrounds. Spacious room and big bathing facilities. Bath water was nice with a cooler bath next to the (only) other much larger main bath.The place is big and can cater for large groups.

This accomodation was “on my route” and available ! Those were the two factors that decided my choosing it. I simply needed a bed for the night. I wasn’t overwhelmed when I saw the building exterior, but that changed as soon as I entered. The owner has done a magnificent job with the interior, the rooms, and the furniture and fixtures, it’s a little Palace. I was comfortable in this quiet neighbourhood on the edge of town, and the nearby safe parking for my car was reassuring. Thank you for a delightful and comfortable stay.

Host was really nice and helpful in explaining rules and how to use the property, such as how we can heat the baths and what we can or cannot use in the property. Host is Japanese speaking only but it was not a problem for us. The property was really clean with big spaces to relax, and our group of 7 enjoyed our stay very much. We can’t wait to return the next time we are in the area!

This place was lovely, I did book a 6 person room all to myself though! Very thoughtful staff who provided hot water for tea to your room, put a whole breakfast together for me when I was running a bit late on my second night, and swapped me to a non-smoking room when my original booking didn't say it was smoking. The breakfast was amazing value and the onsen was lovely. Because it's obviously popular during snow season it was super quiet which was welcome.
