i think we stayed in the best place in kratié! the people are so friendly there, especially the guy behind the reception (I unfortunately forgot his name). we had a bit of a problem with the bus company and he especially went to the bureau in town to fix it for us! what a hospitality! the rooms were also very spacious (we had the business and first class room) and especially the first class was beautiful with view on the Mekong. i would definitely recommend!

A very special place with great traditional wooden houses as rooms. Really loved the place. Something different and very well done. Tasteful, artful, very spacious and comfortable rooms. An atmosferic open restaurant with good food. Large pool. All in a beautiful setting on the quiet island in front of Kratie. A great place to stay!

We absolutely loved our 3 night stay at Dary‘s Village Guesthouse & Restaurant. Our room was very spacious and clean. The guesthouse is situatrd in the village where Dary grew up so you get to experience the authentic life of the people and kids there and can also try the food at the local market just around the corner. Dary is such a beautiful person inside and out. If you’re interested she will also tell you a lot about her life and the life of the people in her village. The food her mom and Dary herself are preparing is delicious. If you are up for some activities or need support to organise your transport, Dary will arrange everything for you. Thanks for making our stay unforgettable! We already miss you! 💕

A Truly Magical and Unforgettable Stay I had the absolute pleasure of spending time in this wonderful homestay, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. The family is incredibly warm, welcoming, and kind. They open their home with open hearts and truly make you feel like part of the family. You can also have delicious homemade food. They even lent me a bike free of charge to explore the city and shared delicious mangoes fresh from their own garden. I returned after my first stay. This really is a proper traditional nice hostel. There’s life in the dorm, it’s all run by a family with children that run around, tours can be booked here. The bed was cosy and the view from the balcony stunning. There’s lockers provided and the WiFi was strong enough to work. If in Kratie and on a budget this is definitely a very good choice, also location wise.
