Everything. Our favourite stay so far in Sri Lanka. Host is amazing - very friendly and all staff were well trained and very attentive. Pool is a nice feature ans breakfast was great. We especially enjoyed the authentic home cooked Sri Lankan curry buffet - it was delicious.

Sandeep is a fantastic host, and the new accommodation is beautiful. The small huts are very spacious and modern, with a great view of the garden. Sandeep even organized the safari for us – a perfect stay!

Leels safari cottage, a pocket of paradise. we spontaneously booked our stay here for 2 nights in hopes to do a safari. We’ve been travelling Sri Lanka for over a month now and I can say this has been the nicest place we have stayed at. The pictures are exactly like the place which we were so pleased about, the room its self is beautiful, comfortable beds, beautiful layout and decoration with the blessing of air con and a fan. They also supply mosquito nets, this was the first place we weren’t bitten once! As for the bathroom it’s wonderful, full of plants with an rainforest vibe. It’s all so clean and well stocked with a kettle, wardrobe, shelf’s and great mirrors. The attention to detail is amazing you can tell a lot of love and hard work has been put into this place. The lighting is lovely giving it a cosy feel. We had breakfast included and added on dinner for both nights as the food was too good! Cooked by the loveliest ladies who do everything they can to make sure you’re happy. So much selection for both breakfast and dinner really yummy and enjoyable. It’s the perfect place to relax but also seek adventure. We woke up early one morning to go for a run, the area is lovely everybody smiles and says hello. and the views are really beautiful with thriving nature. We went to an elephant orphanage near by, luckily they know people for transport etc and Leel suggested this activity for us, we didn’t know about this place prior our visit! But so glad we went it was amazing! Our second day was Safari day, we were delighted that Leel himself is one of the greatest safari tour drivers, so we set off early in the morning and embarked on our safari around Udawalawe. I know it will be one of my favourite memories we are really grateful for Leel and his dedication to make sure we had the best time and see as many beautiful animals as possible! Very nice houses in a great location for the national park. Welcoming hosts and, as some others have already written, the best food we ate in Sri Lanka - cooked by the mom of the young hosts. Heart, what more could you want? 😊

The stay was absolutely perfect! I wouldn’t change one thing about this place. We stayed for one night and from start to finish, the service and hospitality was exceptional, we were truly treated like family. The food was cooked fresh to order and absolutely divine, and we were fed until we couldn’t eat any more! The bed was super comfy and all the bathroom facilities were really good. The safari was great too. I don’t often write reviews but this place deserves one! The owner even called to speak to us just before we left to make sure we had a good stay!

Amazing stay close to Udawalawe park entrance. Nice pool, dinner... and staff was superb!
