The villa is well laid out with all required facilities. It's clean and tidy. The owner was there to receive us and to handover the property. He is very plesent, friendly and corporative. We had full prevacy, comfort and all the freedom. The most liked pat was that the owner allowed our pet dog Labrador to stay with us. Our Labrador was the most enjoyed and thrilled out of all of us, as the dog enjoyed the garden freely by playing and jumping in to the pond in front of the property. The facilities are luxurious and entire property is equipped to satisfy our full expectations.

it’s a very cute place, all made of woods. located just on the riverside. many birds singing around. there is a big terrace in front of the entrance, perfect for morning yoga. bed is very big and comfortable. we have visited national park near by and saw many animals, different lizards, snakes, birds. our trip was perfectly organised by the owner. he is very nice man and friendly, we have enjoyed his company. especially we want to notice that food was amazing, like in a good restaurant. we definitely will remember our stay and come back again! 😊

Our stay at Sinharaja Forest Lodge was truly relaxing. The lodge is surrounded by lush tea plantations and beautiful greenery, making it a perfect escape into nature. I'm a wildlife Photographer and I've been seeing Hemal as guide for several years now. He recently renovated the place as a guest house and it is fantastic. The place: The room was clean, AC and facilities are brand new and the view is exceptional! It is located a beautiful 10 minute walk from the park entrance, surrounded by green. And is directly next to the path that you would take for a night tour, which is a must in Sinharaja (And nobody is allowed to enter the Park at night). Hemal's wife is cooking and I doubt any of the luxury hotels near by will match the love and effort she put in every single meal. As it is common for Sri Lankan hospitality, they will always ask you if anything is missing or you have any special wishes and will drive to the nearest shop to buy it, without asking. The guide (Which is much more important in Sinharaja!): Hemal is known within the entire community as one who spots the most animals and knows so much about them. While all guides need to absolve basic training to become a guide, you can tell that he is truly passionate about the nature and he will tell you the English, Latin and partly the German names for most of the animals that we saw. You can also tell that he deeply respects the animals and the eco system and puts safety of you and the animals above anything. He grew up right in that village and he's is in the forest every day even on his days off so he always knows all the best spots!
