It was definitely one of the best stays we have had in Vietnam while travelling for a month. We have stayed only for one night but if we had more time left we would have stayed for more to relax. The room is nice and cosy and clean. We had a family dinner with locals and other travellers and it was really fun talking, also food is great, everything was delicious. Of course, the happy water helped to have such fun but we are not complaining. Be aware that it's hard to say no to happy water.

I arrived in the early evening, and booked just a few minutes before. The staff (owner’s dad and aunt, I believe) were immediately accommodating and helpful. They took me to my room, which is a shared room(?) but I was just by myself, and offered food and breakfast for the next day. The facility is new and under more development. There’s a lot of green, which I think would be extra lovely once done up. I have told my mom about this, and would definitely return!

Tuyen Quang is a great city to visit, but what really made my experience great was booking at this homestay. The house is really new and modern so money is really worth it. The owner and the staffs are well trained and professional they will help you whatever you need. The owner speaks English as well so it’s easy for a foreigner to stay in. It is also a convenient place because it is near the market shopping centre restaurant and so on.

The proprietor, Michael, is a super nice, helpful guy (although English is limited, easy to communicate with). Comfortable place, even if a bit older. Well equipped. Minibar and water bottle refills a nice touch. Great location. If you are looking for a break from the beaten path, Tuyen Quang a nice reprieve.
