The staff were all very nice, and a special mention for Eduardo, who was so helpful and informative with the restaurant menu. He also gave us so much information about the local area. The restaurant food was exceptional and we enjoyed every meal.

If you are a fan of Umberto Eco's Name of the Rose, just stay. It was very difficult to get the bikes and roll out that gate this morning, instead of having a few more coffees, more fresh oil tasting and reading the book again in the garden and asking Annalisa one more time to explain the story. Next time, I hope.

I think I’ll rave about this stay forever. It’s the nicest hotel I have ever experienced. We were upgraded on check-in and received the most incredible room. It truly felt like a dream from start to finish. The staff were consistently warm and gracious, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Breakfast is phenomenal, with complimentary prosecco available if you wish. We had dinner here on two nights, and both meals were absolutely five-star. The spa is beautiful, and we loved spending time in the thermal suites. There are two swimming pools with breathtaking scenic views, which made the whole experience even more relaxing. Everything felt cinematic, as if I had stepped into a movie. My only regret is not booking the entire holiday here. I cannot wait to return.

A wonderful warm hearted place for any (book loving) traveller to visit. It's run by a lovely couple with eye for detail. The B&B had everything you could wish for: easy accessibility, parking infront (a bit tight as it's in the mountain, but very doable), a grand variety of tea, a coffee machine, a wonderful relaxing shower, enough pillows to make a forth, an extensive book collection, small table games and children activities, they welcome pets, they will prepare a wine bottle opener if you request one, a lavish and delicious home made breakfast, and if you give them a heads up they can even serve you dinner (for extra costs, but very reasonably priced) in the B&B. It was a wonderful experience and I haven't had such a good and restful night in a long time.

We had the option of booking a free travel cot for our 10 month old baby boy. Not only was it set up for us on arrival but it was so beautifully prepared with bedding! Our host was wonderfully communicative and generous and went the extra mile to ensure that we were more than comfortable. The amenities were beautiful and the cleanliness throughout was impeccable. If possible, we would love to return for a longer stay. It was over and above our expectations!

We had a fantastic time at Fontecristina. I can’t imagine a more beautiful setting - the pool, garden and view are stunning. The apartment itself is exquisite. Krisztina and Lucio are the perfect hosts - they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, and gave us really helpful tips for things to do and places to go to. The apartment is in a great location to visit other areas. We took day trips to Rome, Perugia, Assisi, Siena, Florence and San Morino. It is also just perfect for lazy days around the private pool, soaking in the beautiful Umbrian countryside!
