Beautiful location surrounded by nature, with a big garden, where the delicious dinner buffet is served, made mainly from local food. Our room was a bit further, near a lake, and we were offered to use bicycles to get there faster. It was a peaceful place and the owner and all staff are super friendly and hospitable, you might find yourself leaving having another friend there. He arranged a full day safari in the Wilpattu national park for us, which we enjoyed very much. If you are considering visiting the Wilpattu area, we highly recommend staying here.

Roshan and his family really took care of us. Messaging us ahead of time with information about the safari, which was really well organised. We saw 3 different leopards, an elephant, a bear and many more animals, we were really lucky. On arrival we got some refreshments and a free upgrade for our room. Also Roshan and his family served traditional and local Sri Lankan food. We had an amazing stay.

Very nice experience we had at this accommodation 👌 The members of the staff are very kind and you get this family warmth feeling when you stay at this place. I booked a superior chalet for one night at Green Sapphire Holiday Resort this year in January. I was doing an early morning safari at Wilpaththu the next day, and the resort made for a great stopover. My chalet was large, super clean, and they let me extend my check out time so I could have a shower after the safari. The packed breakfast was not gourmet food, but made for a welcome meal inside Sri Lanka's most beautiful game reserve.

The hosts were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Lunch was very very good and very generous helpings! The Safari organised through the host was superb and well run and the location was beautiful in the middle of the jungle and a short walk to a lovely lake Thank you so much - we had a great time and very highly recommend!!!

The staff is very attentive to your needs. My daughter came with a flu here and they did all possible to provide medicine, even improvised a steam bath to treat her in ayuverdic way. Also, we rented a tuk tuk with the guide , Sineth , from the property , whom took us to a day trip in the Old Ancient City of Anuradhapura and safari and managed everything for us in an impecable way.

I can’t rate my stay highly enough. This is my second visit here. I came back to see if I could find the elusive sloth bear and I did on my first days safari I was lucky enough to have Anton and Randy as guides. Also saw a variety of birds and a leopard walking in a distance on the road, a truly beautiful sight. Second day I went with Chamod who was an excellent spotter of birds even saw a leopard on the beach across the lake. Of course this is a National Park and you have to be lucky to see leopards and bears but the quality of the guide is a must. This is why I returned to Anton and his team. The food was excellent and bountiful. Breakfast the morning I left was a feast . Nothing is too much trouble, one evening they even arrange a birthday cake for a guest after dinner. Water is provided also there was never a problem if I wanted coffee or boiling water for my tea. Anton is passionate about wildlife and his customers, you can really feel it. At the end of my stay he even took me to the bus stop and made sure I got on the right bus. I can’t thank the team enough for another amazing 3 night stay. You can go wrong with your stay here. Excellent accommodation at a budget price.

I had a wonderful stay with Riswan and his family. They truly care about offering the best possible experience to their guests and sharing the beauty of their region. They even managed to organize a last-minute safari for me at a very reasonable price, especially considering how well the day went (great driver, breakfast + lunch included) – $50 for a half day, $95 for a full day. As for the wildlife, I was lucky not only in the park but also around the village where the guesthouse is located. It’s not uncommon to see one or even several elephants passing by – though of course, that’s up to Mother Nature! Overall, a fantastic experience. A big thank you to Riswan and his brother for their kindness and for taking the time to help me plan my route. Good to know: there’s a local bus that runs from the village to Puttalam for 150 LKR, 1h, starting around 7 AM, with connections to many other destinations from there.
