Spotless rooms, comfortable beds, steady supply of hot water. There were comfortable couches outside where you could chill. The staff and especially the owner were very helpful. The location is central in thamel near many restaurants and shops, but it's not too loud at night

My welcome from Mani was gracious and friendly. It was already dark and no taxis were around, but his act was saviour. I had been in contact after the booking and he went extra mile and sent a car for my pick up from the nearest point to the hotel. Worked out perfectly. The hotel was very nice, clean, and well kept. Really nice and unexpected spacious rooftop was fun so I spent the whole morning as I lucked out with good weather in Oct. Breakfast in the garden was great as well. It's not at Thamel but close. This hotel could cost 3 times what it offers if it would be at Thamel. This is a solid choice for a great experience if staying in Kathmandu. I will tomorrow be visiting the Osho Tapoban, they recommended me this wonderful place, but it's yet to come how it would be. This is my short Nepal visit, will definitely return to visit the Himalayas, next year with my family and stay here again. Highly recommended and Thanks, Mani.

This is a really great place to stay in in Kathmandu. It’s very central but quiet because it’s off any of the main roads. The garden is perfect to relax in. The staff is really friendly and helped us with absolutely everything - taxis, bus tickets, a tour of Bhaktapur and Patan and they also stored our bags during our Langtang Valley Trek. The prices they charged for busses and tours were very fair. The food here is also delicious! We tried a few cafes and restaurants in Thamel but the food in Birds Nest was at least as good! We stayed here 3 times during our time in Nepal and will happily stay here again next time!

I simply love this place and this family. Shortly after arriving it already felt like home. I had the pleasure to spend one month in this Homestay and I would (and will) come back in a heartbeat. It is a one of its kind hotel. Probably unlike any I have ever stayed in. The ambience of the place just lifts your spirits. It keeps you wondering how did someone come up with this place. And to top it off, the staff is so friendly and helpful, service is exceptional, food is good. They arranged for our daily outings and provided us any detail we asked for. Our stay here really completed our Kathmandu vacation. We are a family of 4 and stayed in their family room with two double beds. The room is called 'Manaslu'.
