First of all, we like the location.It's near to Thamel Rd. where a lot of souvenir shops, bar and restaurants, spa etc. Everything we need is just around the corner. Secondly, all the staff here are very kind, courteous, and helpful and accommodating. Finally, the hotel is clean and peaceful perfect for relaxation.

Considering location and facilities, this is a great hotel! The rooms located near the main street are a bit noisier, but we were able to move to a quieter room and slept great. The breakfast area on the top floor is really nice as well. The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers that want to stay in Thamel.

This is not my first time here. It is a quaint, intimate hotel with a very attentive, kind and friendly staff. The service is personalized but not obtrusive. Much care is taken in the cleanliness and maintenance of the property. Rooms and bathrooms have always been very clean at check-in. The menu is varied and the dishes are prepared to order, always fresh. The WiFi is strong; I've never had problems connecting. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and I definitely plan to stay here again!

It's my 2nd time in this hostel and I still really appreciate it very much! In 2-3 weeks that I've been out of KTM they made huge and really good changes. This place is getting better and better! Beautiful, comfortable, great location and price and the food has gotten even better than last time 👍

Such a gem of a property in Thamel. A special shout out to Binod who was exceptionally caring and attentive. Could not have asked for a nicer start to the morning than his friendly professionalism at the breakfast table! I have been coming to Nepal every year since 2006 (except 2 years due to covid restrictions) and have stayed in dozens of hotels in Kathmandu over the years but Dalai La just stands out in every way. It will be my go-to spot for both myself and my groups for future trips. Thank you to the staff for making every stay so pleasant.
