I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Alta Luce Mount Lounge Hotel in the charming village of Staffal, and I have to say that the breakfast served by Gianni was one of the highlights of my stay. The breakfast spread was simply amazing, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. Gianni's friendly and warm welcome each morning made me feel at home, and his attention to detail in presenting the breakfast spread was truly impressive. From freshly baked croissants and bread to an array of cold cuts, cheeses, and fresh fruits, there was something for everyone. The hot dishes were also exceptional, with perfectly cooked eggs, bacon, and sausages on offer. But what really stood out to me was the quality of the food. The ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality, and it was clear that a lot of care had been put into preparing each and every dish. I particularly enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice, which was a refreshing way to start the day. Overall, the breakfast served by Gianni at the Alta Luce Mount Lounge Hotel was an exceptional experience. His warm hospitality and the quality of the food made for a perfect start to each day of my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a charming and comfortable stay in the beautiful village of Staffal.

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, lo Miete di Nonni is located in Champoluc, 10 km from Miniera d'oro Chamousira Brusson and 13 km from Castle of Graines. The property features mountain and garden views, and is less than 1 km from Church of San Martino di Antagnod. The bed and breakfast has family rooms. The owner was nice and very friendly. The room was very warm which was really nice in the cold weather and both the room and the the bathroom were the perfect size. Breakfast was also abundant with cakes, tea and coffees available and a range of options.

This 5-star hotel offers a ski pass sales point, room service and free WiFi. Guests can use the spa and wellness centre with an indoor pool, sauna, and hammam, as well as a bar. It was beautiful. Lovely views from the room. The staff was so so nice (and went out of their way when I left items at the hotel). Can walk to the cable car in champoluc to Crest. You can take many nice hikes directly from Champoluc. And it has parking!

Set in Champoluc, Aethos Monterosa is located halfway between Champoluc and Frachey ski lifts, both a 12-minute walk away. It offers on-site dining options, fitness and wellness facilities, and rooms with free WiFi access. The property boasts a bar, 2 restaurants, a 25-metre indoor swimming pool and an indoor climbing wall. We stayed with our dog for one night during a multi-day hike, and it was by far the best hotel we stayed at in the area. The rooms are stunning, with two levels (duplex), and pets are welcome — for an extra fee, but they get a nice bed, bowls, and treats. The breakfast had an incredible array of buffet options, as well as some "a la carte" dishes which were incredible (I still remember the french toast in particular). More importantly, the staff is super helpful — we needed a taxi on our departure day to avoid an extra long hike, and since no taxis were available until the afternoon, they made an exception and drove us to our destination in their private shuttle car. We'll definitely be staying there again, and hopefully for more than just one day to make the most of the amazing spa, indoor swimming pool, and to try the indoor rock climbing center!
