Super positive experience 3 great reason to stay here. 1st - the staff was so trusting and helpful to help in booking the jungle tours in advance. They can arrange everything from jungle walk, jeep safari, cultural tour, bus booking to kathmandu, pre-packed breakfast and short commute via tuk tuk to chitwan city. And best of all the price is super reasonable. 2nd - the calmness of the resort especially viewing the river at anytime of the day. If you want a good connection with nature, river and appreciate some silence from heavy music. This is the best place to be in. It has limited units of cabins, which means less number of humans. And they have several sheltered verandahs for one to sit and appreciate the river view. It feels tranquil , peaceful and nature feel. 3rd - the jungle walk is a must and highly recommended. We are accompanied by 2 guides who brought us to canoe river trip followed by jungle walk resting in several tree top inside the jungle. For us who are rather unfit, we think half a day especially noon to evening will be good enough for the walk. We took the full day and recorded 26K steps for the day , feeling rather tired at th end of day. The evening jungle walk was an adventurous one as we had a close encounter in spotting a wild rhino from a distance. The guide prioritised safety and got us to leave together once we got a nice shot of the rhino on phone. Walking on safari observing animals that might pop up amidst the sunset view at the safari was a truly memorable one. Please do leave a tip to the guides as they are really dedicated professional and nice.

My friend and I had such a wonderful time at Tara’s Guest house. As everyone has already said it, it is a wonderful family in which everyone goes out of their way to help and support you. They are always smiling! From the didi who made our rooms, to aunty who took us around the village on our first day, to Vicky who is always there to help you with any kind of bookings, we are grateful for their warmth and hospitality! :)

Located in Chitwan, 40 km from Tharu Cultural Museum, Chital lodge provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. This 1-star hotel offers a bar. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi. The family are great, the peace and quiet at the lodge is excellent, the food was very good, and the safaris were amazing. If you are looking for the creature comforts of a resort or hotel then this is not the place for you. The rooms may be spartan but they were clean. This is the place to go if you want to be away from the crowded tourist district, and value some peace and quiet. You will have a large variety of birds around your room, and maybe the occasional jackal at night if you are lucky (don't worry about them, they are great to see and go in the other direction as fast as they can if they see you). The family who own the lodge are all lovely and welcoming, and they supply some great tasting food (the nearest shops are a 10-15 minute walk away. Bishnu from the family who runs the lodge is also the safari guide, and he is great He is a local who truly loves and cares for nature, and who is very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. I went out on my first jeep safari within a couple of hours of arriving and to be honest I was not expecting to see much. I would have been happy with a few birds and just seeing the park. What I saw far exceeded that. We spotted our first rhinoceros within a couple of minutes of entering the park and saw several more (up very close). There were dozens of spotted deer, hog deer, gharial crocodiles, mugger crocodiles, macaques, wild boar, and a huge variety of birds. I went on another jeep safari two days later and saw 9 different individual rhinoceros that day as well. Some of them were within n 5 metres of our jeep. On that second safari we also saw plenty more of the other animals I have mentioned, including a huge range of birds, including some migratory species which are rare to see in this part of the world. Unfortunately I decided not to do the canoe ride or the walking safari, but have since been in touch with other tourists I met there, who said that was also a wonderful experience. HIGHLY recommended.

Raj, his family and staff were all extremely helpful. Tours provided were a fraction of the cost I had been quoted at another hotel. Room and facilities of a standard relative to the price.

The accommodation features entertainment staff and room service. The owner, Mr. Suraj, runs the property professionally and with utmost hospitality. He also helped planning a variety of activities during my stay in Sauraha : jungle walk and jeep safari. The evening was filled with a Tharu dance cultural program whose venue is right next to the hotel. It was a memorable and pleasant stay for me in Sauraha.

With Tharu Cultural Museum reachable in 4.1 km, Pemsee's Tree Town - Eco Treehouse Hostel offers accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. As birdwatcher I love the location. Next to the river between old trees. I collect 40-50 species of bird in one day just in the radius of this facility I like atmosphere and original acomodation and staff is just great, frendly and professional. .

Green Mansion Jungle Resort is located in Chitwan and is 200 metres from Elephant Park and Chitwan National Park. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

The Tharu Village is 100 metres from the property. The Sauraha Bus Station is 3.5 km while the Bharatpur Airport is 20 km. The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully designed. Loved the bath tub!! The pool area was very relaxing. The gardens were also nicely kept and manicured. All the staff were friendly and the food was exceptional.

Sapana Village Lodge aims to support the local community, including the indigenous people of the Terai region. The property features a restaurant, a coffee shop and a spa. The room was comfy. There was even space to hang my hammock, which is always a big gold star. There were lots of communal spaces, like the area for viewing the river and elephants wandering by, the fire circle, the bar, and of course the restaurant. The whole place is set up really well around a lush garden, and it's a short walk into the small village nearby. The staff were so accommodating, ever so friendly, and really went above and beyond. It was also really easy to organise activities to get to know the local culture better, and to see some wildlife. The safari was awesome - saw rhinos, a sloth bear, and more. If I came to Chitwan again, I'd definitely stay here again.
