Dubrovnik is a wonderful city to visit but can get very busy. Early morning and late afternoon are the best times to visit the main sites if you want to avoid the tour groups. The 3 and 7 day passes, to visit the main sites, are good value. Walking the city walls is a must and don't forget West Harbour, just outside the city walls.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The location was great. We walked everywhere.
The location was great. We walked everywhere. The bed was so comfortable. The 2 flights of stairs were tough with 3 bags of luggage but other than that, it was wonderful. We took a sunset cruise around Split that was excellent. Gelato shop next to apartment really came in handy!Guest review byGayleUnited States - 10

Zadar was a lovely town, a little in need of some cash investment to help recover after the war but so interesting to walk around, take wonderful speedboat trips out to the islands, fabulous food, a wonderful place to go see. The most standout part of our holiday was the people!!! Everyone is FANTASTIC, the most friendly, helpful and entertaining people even though we visited close to the end of their season and I'm sure the all needed a much needed break we didnt encounter one single person who wasnt warm and friendly. Don't hesitate to visit this beautiful slice of heaven. Oh and the food is exceptional!!!Guest review bycagslaneIreland - 10

We hired electric bikes and rode across the city, which has lots of historical sites. The people are friendly and welcoming. The food is also amazing here. There are local homemade foods too. We came in September and it was still warm enough to tan but not so hot you couldn’t enjoy walking or exercising.Guest review byVictoria Doncha KnoUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Really liked the small old town in Budva.
Really liked the small old town in Budva. It doesn't get too many tourists ( like Kotor) so is less crowded and more tranquil. I didn't like the fact you had to pay to walk along a part of the walled town. There are lots of small food places there (selling pizza, sandwiches, byreks, cakes), which is great and absent in lots of these type of places.Guest review byjohnUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The town is blessed by a glorious setting, the emerald green bay with steep mountains as a dramatic backdrop. The town itself is graced with more stylish Venetian palazzos that you can shake a stick at. But Kotor also suffers from the curse of colossal cruise ships, which can flood the tiny town with hundreds of tourists at once, even in October. There are lovely walks either side of the bay with cafes that have the most scenic views imaginable. It's a good way to get away from the crowds and to enjoy the spectacular panorama. If I had my time again, I would spend three nights in Kotor instead of six and spend at least two nights in Perast, an improbably picturesque spot.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 10
The town was perfect size so walking is easy for everyone.
The town was perfect size so walking is easy for everyone. Please note the cobbled streets can be a little slippery so fancy high heeled shoes are a No-No! The local people are kind and friendly and everyone is catered for. Little tip:- book restaurants early to avoid disappointment not obtaining a reservation.Guest review byjohn allardUnited Kingdom - 10
Beautiful city. I recommend exploring it by bike.
Beautiful city. I recommend exploring it by bike. Marinas full of yachts. The best-preserved colosseum. Something for fort enthusiasts. Lovely architecture and delicious food. A great base for exploring Istria. Close to the Kamenjak Peninsula and charming towns such as Poreč, Rovinj, and Novigrad. Beautiful beaches in Fažana and the opportunity to take a cruise to the Brijuni Islands. Aquarium Pula- highly recommend visit.Guest review byGrzegorzPoland - 6.0
It is a typical city on the Balcanian coast.
It is a typical city on the Balcanian coast. The main big problem at the moment is a heavy traffic when you enter the city from the east or south east. You spend a lot of time there and if you go for attractions in the neighbourhood, you have to calculate with this, In fact, it is a waisting of time. The problem occured because the works on the road, but it is really a big delay and there is no police, nobody who regulates thatGuest review byVladimirIsrael - 10
