Incredible hotel. 200 plus years old traditional stone home, beautifully restored and updated. Many charming features with modern convenience and amenities. Beautiful wood ceilings in some parts of hotel and stone accents and walls. Our family loved our room, the staff, decor, breakfast, location and the gorgeous pool with amazing castle and mountain views. Truly a magical stay!! Breakfast buffet was great with artisinal coffees. Staff so kind and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Where do I even start? This place exceeded all expectations. Nestled in a charming town, the hotel suite is nothing short of breathtaking. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated to perfection. The owner, an architect, transformed a family property—once an embroidery workshop run by his mother for 20 years—into these stunning suites, making the space truly unique and full of history. The décor is exquisite, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom is beautifully designed. And the views—simply spectacular—offering breathtaking panoramas from both sides of the suite. Breakfast was delightful, and the convenience of having a dedicated parking spot is a game-changer in a town where parking is notoriously scarce. One of the biggest perks? You can pay by credit card—a rare convenience in Albania. The owner was absolutely fantastic — a great communicator, incredibly accommodating, and quick to respond. His top-notch customer service truly made our stay even more special I wholeheartedly recommend this gorgeous hotel. Its central location allowed us to step right into the old town, explore the bustling bazaar, and take a short stroll to the castle. Simply perfect in every way.

It’s usually a day trip destination, but we decided to stay for 4 nights. The old town was a nice place to walk around. The castle was a must visit. On the other days, we rented a car and drive to Sarande, Ksamil, Permet (thermos bath. We took a bus from Athens (we paid 5€ for the taxi to take us up to our hotel). After the 4 days, we took a bus to Tirana.

Permet is a nice small city but with very good and...

Permet is a nice small city but with very good and hospitable people with a great history. It is called "the city of roses" because of the multi kinds of roses that grows in the city. Its culinary is one of the strongest points. Rafting, hiking, exploring and the termal baths are some of the things you can do there.

The natural views are crazy in my opinion.

The natural views are crazy in my opinion. Crazy mountains and rivers, streams everywhere. The people are very nice, I read about other accounts but we experienced nothing but kindness and politeness. Its off the beaten track which we personally like. Its not all tarted up and cheap touristic vibe like you get in so many European countries, that you dont know what is real anymore. The seaside is also now only about 50 min away - we took a road to Sarande that apparently was just completed, so we also experienced a bit of the mediteranean vibe.

People are very helpful.

People are very helpful. A lot to discover between history and nature for those who loves walking and climbing. As an animal lover, I have rescued a dog and adopted him. Even if it's not on your mind you could them help as well there. There is a fantastic vet at down at the town center.

We really enjoyed our time in Përmet.

We really enjoyed our time in Përmet. The town was surprisingly clean compared to bigger tourist cities – no piles of garbage and no unpleasant smells, which made it very pleasant to walk around. It’s also much quieter, which we really appreciated. We ate at Bar Restaurant Lulishte, and I can’t recommend it highly enough – the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Getting around Përmet is quite easy since it’s a small town, and the beautiful landscapes make every walk enjoyable. For young couples, it’s a wonderful destination to relax, enjoy nature, and take in the peaceful vibe together.

Amazing town in the mountains with a lot of history worth a few days. The experience as enhanced by our stay at the Hotel SS Kekezi a unique family run hotel full of character and a fantastic breakfast. The owner was so helpful. If your going search out a restaurant called The Library in the old town - one of my best meals ever.

I liked Permet a lot!

I liked Permet a lot! It is a small town, so you see it in a single day but there is a beautiful river passing through it, and it is surrounded by mountains. There is a range of activities to do around Permet like rafting, hiking, canyoning. I stayed 3 days only but I would have enjoyed staying a bit more to do some hiking.
