- From $131.49 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 983 reviewsWe booked this place on Airbnb, guided only by the reviews. I didn’t actually read them. I just looked at the pictures of the room. The price, I’d say, was the best value of anything on the entire lake. It was the only place that really seemed to be on the lake, where you could actually do things on the lake, not just look at it. A lot of places you couldn’t even go in the water—no lake access, or maybe just sunbathing. It’s clear a lot of love went into this place when it was built. The whole property is very thoughtfully developed. There’s a distinct yellow and blue color theme throughout—stickers, signage, even the color of the boats. Even the e-bike charger in the bike room was yellow and blue. Yeah, they have a charging station for e-bikes. The umbrellas are yellow. The chairs are blue. There are tons of different room layouts, spread across lots of buildings. We were fortunate—I’d say we had one of the best rooms. It was a little studio layout with a small kitchen. The kitchen was simple but functional. Our studio had doors that opened onto a terrace, fully enclosed by dense ivy—looked like ivy, anyway. From the terrace, you could see out to the lake. And beyond that, the mountains. On the other side? Slovenia. Bathroom was complete—modern and all in one room. Kitchen looked brand new. There’s an espresso machine, but note: you might want to bring some favorite things from home—aluminum foil, plastic zip bags, salt, pepper, spices, etc. They also provided a nice little bottle of champagne (sect), dish soap, and some kitchen supplies. Our room was right near the sauna area—almost part of it. There was a sauna, showers, a small pool to relax in. A tiny fitness area—enough to get the job done. A breakfast buffet was not included—eggs, bacon (crispy, good). They also had: Table tenni, Boats, A DVD collection you could borrow - DVD player in the room.Guest review byAdamAustria
- From $253.08 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,053 reviewsThe hotel is excellent, beautifully furnished, exceptionally large rooms with a spacious bathroom and lovely balcony right in the heart of Velden. The spa is very nice and the breakfast was tasty with a wide range of options available. The restaurant is very good and we ate lunch and dinner there also and it was very good. We also took advantage of the free bicycle option and cycled all the way around Lake Worthersee, a very nice trip. Expensive but standard for the location. We didn't use the lake access but were given passes if we had wanted to do so.Guest review byЭмилия АлистеровнаUnited Kingdom
- From $179.15 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 2,905 reviewsThe hotel staff was very helpful and the front desk team member was extremely courteous, recommended us a great dinner option near by (Uni.Wirt. restaurant), upon our late arrival. We saw that the hotel restaurant (reservations are recommended) and hotel bar are also very popular and a must try next time we are here. Our rooms were very comfortable, highly recommend the deluxe suite which includes a large bathtub in the very spacious room.Guest review byBrianUnited States

Picturesque old town with charming timber-framed buildings and some lively restaurants serving traditional food. We were only there for one night, but had a nice meal and sat in the lovely square with its fountain and bars.Guest review bySarahUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It was all positive, the old buildings, town squares, the old restaurants in the "downtown", the spectacular views and restaurants on the lake, walking around those areas around the lake, the weather and how nice everyone was. Plus we have great friends that live there and they are the best, they showed us around to great places and we had a great time.Guest review byDaveUnited States - 10.0

We caught the train from Pritswich to Portschach which was a very short journey. Their timetables at the station/collection points are so easy to understand. Portschach is a very picturesque place. The houses looked very clean adorned with flowers, very tidy streets. People are very friendly and the majority spoke English. The food was delicious especially the cakes. There was a park area which took you down to the lake. Also a play area for children. We caught the ferry over to Maria Worth and then later, travelled by ferry to Velden.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

The village and the surroundings are beautiful, good food in the restaurants. We missed a cafe open in the morning :). The church and its surroundings are incredibly beautiful and well-kept: no wonder it is the symbol of the village.Guest review byBorbálaHungary - 10.0
Great skiing resort.
Great skiing resort. Many ski-lifts and pistes to explore and they are all well prepared. The pistes are not too difficult, most of them are of medium difficulty, but there are also some pistes suited for learning skiers. There is also a possibility to trek to the nearest peaks with or without the help of ski-lifts. The wellness is also great with an outside heated pool from where you can see the ski pistes. The area is well suited for families since it is peaceful and quiet.Guest review byMarioSlovenia - 10.0

I might be biased, I was born in Spittal an der Drau, but the town has certainly some charm on it's own. The renaissance Schloß Porcia, roman excavation in nearby Teurnia, the surrounding landscapes with lakes, mountains offering plenty opportunities for hiking, swimming and enjoyment of the local food specialties.Guest review byHeinzUnited States - 10.0
We visited in December, over New Years.
We visited in December, over New Years. Seeboden is well located to reach lots of hiking trials after only a few mins car drive (or bus). The ski area Goldeck is also only 15-20mins away by car. Shops, hotels and restaurants are all in walking distance. The view from the lake shore is beautiful and calming. We ate most of the time in our hotel, Moserhof, because we liked their food a lot. Once we ventured out to Postwirt and again we liked it so much that we went back another time. Great food for decent money. And the service really surprised us in both places. Super friendly people who anticipate your next wish before you have voiced it, but all without being intrusive.Guest review byHeikeUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The staff was great and the room was very comfortable.
The staff was great and the room was very comfortable. Fast wi-fi and slippers and robe in the room. Parking was free and just outside the hotel. There is no elevator if you are on upper floors. Short walk to the abbey which is now an arts center and to the local beach although you could swim in the lake right from the hotel property.Guest review byJosephUnited States - 10.0
The whole area of Worthersee lake is worth visiting.
The whole area of Worthersee lake is worth visiting. It offers a lot of activities for all (tourism, cycling, swimming, water activities). The lake is the warmest in Austria and its water is crystal clear and warm as the summer sea. All the nature around is beautiful and calm.Guest review byGabrielaCzech Republic
