- From $302.29 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,251 reviewsRestaurant & cuisine – The dining room delivered outstanding food, excellent table service, and mountain views that made every meal memorable. Hospitality – Staff throughout the hotel—from check‑in to housekeeping—exceeded every expectation. Breakfast experience – A wide and tasty buffet, prompt service, with hot dishes prepared on request made for an energizing start to each day. Ideal for short stopovers – I originally planned this as a two‑night rest to avoid a long drive after a flight. While I didn’t have time for the spa, its generally praised 1,000 m² wellness area shows just how full a longer stay could be. Impeccable cleanliness – I hold very high standards for hygiene; the room and public areas surpassed them entirely.Guest review byOlegIsrael
- From $438.20 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 558 reviewsMe and my wife booked for two nights and we wished we had booked for more! Truly exceptional place. The facilities are top notch, you can swim in the infinity pool with mountains covered in snow just in front of you, the 270° lounge was truly relaxing to have a chat or read a book. The spa was incredible with a sauna, a heated pool and floating chairs in a mountain lounge all overlooking the incredible views. Breakfast and dinner were both absolutely delicious, with versatile options. The rooms are spacious, very modern with alpine style. Around the place you can hike with nice hiking trails, we hiked to the eukbaur where there's a nice restaurant. Definitely would go back there, it's in our top 10 unique hotels around the world.Guest review byJeries NashashibiIsrael
- From $336.42 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 453 reviewsWe were greeted on arrival by a very friendly man who showed us to our rooms and explained the facilities in and around the hotel. Our rooms were great and nicely decorated. We paid a little extra to have them with a balcony overlooking the mountains. Highly recommended. There was a tea/coffee maker in the room, as well as fabulous slippers, bath ropes and plenty of towels. Nice toiletries. The swimming pool and spa are small but lovely, with plenty of sunbeds inside and out. We were lucky with the weather and were able to have breakfast outside. There is a nice buffet with lots of choice. Free spacious parking.Guest review byVictoriaUnited Kingdom
- From $173.42 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 3,070 reviewsThe lobby of this hotel is very modern, and the breakfast is excellent. The rooms are older, but clean and very nice. The view...the view is spectacular! The fourth wall is a glass window that opens up to an amazing view of the Wank Mountain! You can just open the curtain, lay in bed and enjoy the amazing view or go out on the balcony and listen to the mountain stream trickle by. It's just a two minute or less walk from the train station with lots of restaurants in the vicinity. There is a nude spa as well...didn't have time to try that, but if you have time, it is probably a bonus.Guest review byRyanGermany
- From $267.14 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 3,177 reviewsAbsolutely everything, Monica at the front desk is simply amazing, Franz (I think) is also the best and happiest host ever. We even had a Germany Fireman test alarm with all the works, smoke, water, rescue. It was an interesting event to live through and see and enjoyed a few free drinks for our trouble. Amazing place, will be returning, highly recommendedGuest review byRobertPortugal

We had a short stay to visit Eibsee and Zugspitze, and the hotel's location was convenient for public transportation and close to some great restaurants. The reception staff were also super helpful and welcoming.Guest review bySchauChina

Physically - GaPa is super easy to walk around.
Physically - GaPa is super easy to walk around. Mainly the walking is on flat, well maintained sidewalks. Also, If you like hiking up mountains there are plenty of trails to spend days exploring (weeks maybe?) We especially loved the mountain top restaurants. Spiritually - The Catholic Church's here (Like all over Europe) are beautiful and steeped in history. The crowds (tourists) were respectful and maintained a quiet demeanor as they walked around the church. But, for those serious about their Catholic Faith there is plenty of time in the church without crowds to spend in prayer, silence and contemplation with Jesus. Mentally - GaPa is a great place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. The people are friendly. The mountains are picture perfect. This place has got to be on your Bucket-list.Guest review byPeter - 10.0

A picturesque little village with a train station to the Zugspitze, outdoor and indoor swimming and saunas, beautiful mini-golf, lots of hiking trails, and good connections, e.g., Garmisch to Partenkirchen and the Austrian side. It is only under a 1,5 h drive from Munich.Guest review byTiinaFinland - 10.0

The DE-ticket works between Ehrwald and Garmish, despite that Ehrwald is in Austria, so one can travel freely there. The Zugspitze, Sonnenspitze and other locations are reachable by train/bus/cable car from Ehrwald. The Seebensee is fantastic lake, one can get there by a bus+cable car and using and normal road or a bus and a rather difficult via ferrata. Also there is an indoor climbing (about 15m high) gym with 4 automatic belaying stations in Ehrwald, so one can climb even during bad weather conditions.Guest review byPavelGermany - 10.0

We've been to Mittenwald many times and it's one of my favorite places in the region. It's a beautiful village with lots to see and do. There are many places to hike and a cable car trip to the top of Karwendel is a great way to spend a day.Guest review byCarolynUnited States - 10.0

Ettals main, and only, attraction is the Abbey. Which is certainly impressive. You'll most likely visit Ettal for the region, as it is a great point to start your hikes and/or visit Oberammergau and Garmisch-Partenkichen. Munchen and Innsbruck are only an hour drive away.Guest review byArthurNetherlands - 8.0

We usually like to visit Lermoos for a short vacation. The best thing about our one night stay this time was the Sevim Holzofen Pizzeria. Awesome food and such a warm welcome. Unfortunately this time we had a very poor experience staying at 'keyone' accommodation.Guest review byKoopNetherlands - 8.0

Biberwier is a beautiful, pastoral village nestled in the Austrian Alps, offering a serene and picturesque environment for visitors. The village is perfectly situated, providing easy access to a variety of nearby attractions, including skiing and hiking trails, scenic lakes, and cultural landmarks. It's an excellent base for exploring the Tyrolean region, with its charming local atmosphere and close proximity to popular destinations like the Zugspitz Arena, the Marienberg ski area, and the breathtaking Fernpass region. For those looking for a peaceful retreat with plenty of outdoor activities, Biberwier is an ideal choice. However, it is important to research your accommodation options carefully to ensure a pleasant stay.Guest review byItamarIsrael - 10.0

Farchant is a great stay if you want to be out of the busyness of Garmisch-Partenkirchen but not too far away to be a moment away. Great local food and welcoming people, have been coming here for years and plan to return. The atlas hotel has a great restaurant with lots of choice and it’s easy to get to with the train station from Munich or Garmisch-Partenkirchen.Guest review byChristopherUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We did not spend any time in Berwang proper except overnight in our accommodations. However, it was perfectly located for our planned day trips - visits to the peak of the Zugspitze, nearby alpine lakes, and castle visits (Ehrenberg, Hohenschwangau, and Neuschwanstein), including a walk back and forth over the Highline 179 suspension bridge and ziplining down to the parking lot. If we had had more time, would have spent it exploring Berwang itself. Can't say enough about how beautiful the area is.Guest review byBrianUnited States
