- From US$403.77 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 156 reviewsLocation was great. The property was within a 10 min drive to a whole bunch of wineries and eateries. The instructions left by the host for key collection was very clear. We were impressed by the room size and the Vasse Virgin products provided. Heater was already on upon arrival on a fairly chilly day which was welcome. The produce provided for breakfast was very generous and of very good quality; we particularly enjoyed the port provided.Guest review byMichiesanMalaysia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 80 reviewsThe cottage was cozy and well-equipped, featuring a comfortable living area and a well-stocked kitchen. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, conveniently close to the center of town and local wineries. Our stay was peaceful and quiet. The welcome basket filled with treats and essentials was a nice touch. The air conditioning and fans kept us cool, and the beds were comfortable.Guest review byMarkAustralia

The local bars and restaurants were great.
The local bars and restaurants were great. They were busy for school holidays but staff were always willing to help out and get you a spot. Bar Musque in Tanunda was a highlight! Amazing food and gin - staff were exceptional and super helpful. The little shops and the main drag is a great spot to have wine or coffee with the nicest produce around. We loved it.Guest review byBrigitaAustralia - 10.0

Nuriootpa and its very close neighbour Tanunda are the ideal locations to stay for the wine regions of Barossa and Edin Hills. They are driving distance to the Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley which make fabulous day trips. There are great restaurants and fabulous wineries all through the area. You will need a car to get the most out of this area but be smart and book one of the private day tours of the wineries so everyone can have a try. It is lots of fun. Don’t miss Laughing Jack winery. It has limited opening days (Friday and Saturday only) but is well worth a bit of organising to make it. Great Red wines at very reasonable prices. Tomfoolery is a fun winery with lots of character. Be sure to ask the origins of the names of the wines as there are some very funny stories. Try 1918 for a fabulous meal.Guest review bySharlaneAustralia - 10.0

The location was great and the Villla was spacious and so clean. It was also in excellent condition like brand new. The Villas do back on to the main road which is a little noisy at night for those who want complete quiet. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and would have loved to stay longer. Would stay there again.Guest review byAllison - 10.0

Great location with easy access to the wineries and other attractions in the region. Enjoyed great railway station playground at :Angaston and coffee all around the region. There are many wineries to visit and a number of nice restaurants to dine in. We ate at The Lou's, Maggie Beer's and The Vintners. I think Vintners was the best. Food was tasty and the price was correct.Guest review byThomasAustralia - 8.0

The Cheese Factory tasting in main street was outstanding and the local ladies there were so pleasant and helpful. Excellent quiet location, beautiful town with lots of well maintained historic buildings and homes. If eating out evenings likely you will need to go to Tanunda for better choice and quality of venue. This was a disappointing aspect given the availability of locally produced food and wine in area. If self catering, the Supermarket was well stocked.Guest review byDavidAustralia - 10.0

It was absolutely incredible - the cottage - more like a home that was renovated, so much room, amazing kitchen and the host Alex made sure there was wood fire, special local condiments. Couldn’t recommend this beautiful place highly enough! My favourite sitting outside on the porch watching the sunset with a wine. We will be backGuest review byAnitaAustralia - 10.0
A beautifully located area of the Barossa Valley.
A beautifully located area of the Barossa Valley. A very green and clean and very inviting "township'. It is very central and nestled amongst the many wineries and tourist attractions of this wonderful region of South Australia. We loved going to all the wineries and relaxing and trying the many wine varieties. The gin distillery was amazing. The evenings were spent at Tanunda and eating in 1918 and at Char Grill.Guest review byJOHN PAPANICOLASAustralia - 8.0

Springton is a charming little village with a lot of character. It's worth going to to see the Herbig family tree alone. It is VERY quiet which is great if you want to get away from it all - it's only a short drive to wineries and towns with cafes, shops etc. There was not much to do but relax at our accommodation which suited us. At the time of our visit the pub was closed and for sale, as was what looked like a cafe - it would be nice to walk to get a coffee or a meal. If the pub and cafe were to reopen, this little town would be perfect in my view!Guest review byIantheAustralia
