- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 66 reviewsThe property was much better than it seemed through the photos. It was cosy and clean, with two fans in our twin room that were individually controlled. The room had a bar fridge, cups, and coffee and tea provided. The property also has a short trail system that residents can use, and said to have regular visits from cassowaries and Musk rat kangaroos. There is also a roost for the Spectacled Flying foxes on site. As a bird watcher it was nice to see a few species of doves roosting in the trees around the property. The owners were really friendly and nice when it comes to recommendations and maintaining the property! Though it should be noted that there is limited reception on site for optus, and no reception on telstra network.Guest review byYING XIN ELIZESingapore
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 72 reviewsBeautiful location surrounded by rainforest, fruit trees, and birds really immerses you in the wilderness experience. The cabin has ample space to spread out for a couple, enjoy the views and enjoy simple meals. The bed was comfortable and bathroom well equipped to clean up after hikes and snorkeling. We only prepared simple breakfasts, for which the facilities were perfect, but you'll need to plan ahead, bring more items and get creative for bigger meals. Meals on the veranda were so much fun. The unit was very clean considering its location and all the netting, windows, etc were very effective at keeping the bugs outside.Guest review byJosephCanada
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 52 reviewsDon’t be fooled by the term” farm “people. This wasn’t just accomodation, this is an experience at an incredibly high standard. Stunning tropical fruit farm in paradise. Amazing outdoor space for self catering and very comfy and well appointed interior. The team were very welcoming and explained all about the tropical fruit we were given upon arrival. The care and love they have for the environment is at the forefront of everthing they do. Honestly didn’t want to leave, what a privilege to stay there, we will be back 👌Guest review byCherylNew Zealand
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 82 reviewsSimply the best B&B we had during our visit in Australia. The rooms are lovely, like the rest of the house surrounded by a beautiful rainforest. The owner, Maggie, took really care of us offering a beautiful breakfast every morning beyond coming with suggestions and ideas for improving our touristic experience in Moosman Gorge. I would say a must stop if you have chance to cross this beautiful place. Truly and warmly recommended.Guest review byILIOGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 119 reviewsWe loved it! This was our final stay in Australia and it was 150% worth it. The place is very remote, relaxed, peaceful and in the middle of the forest. If we only knew, we would have stayed longer. This is a little peace of heaven. Lilian is great! We loved her, such a nice, one of a kind lady and host. We hope to come back soon and stay longer. The bed was cosy, big large room, great patio surrounded by nature.Guest review byDanielaRomania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 313 reviewsEverything! It is situated right by the National Forest in a beautiful peaceful setting. The room was clean and bright with a large terrace looking directly at the forest. The birdsong in the morning was special. Matt is an excellent host, who gave insights into the local area and spent quality time with his guests. His breakfast fruit plates are really as good as all the other reviews have mentioned.Guest review bykristaAustria

Loved our little cabin, it was very clean and had evertyhing we needed. Beautiful property in the rainforest with a lovely cafe on site for breakfast and lunch, several restaurants nearby. The staff was super helpful and arranged several tours for us when we asked. I would also highly recommend doing their snorkelling tour to the Reef.Guest review byElenaGermany

Cape Tribulation is an amazing, beautiful place.
Cape Tribulation is an amazing, beautiful place. You can walk along the long, beautiful beach with the ocean on one side and tropical rainforest on the other. When you walk back into the rainforest you are on a boardwalk which takes you through huge mangroves then through the tropical rainforest with a stunning variety of rainforest trees and other plants. You see lots of butterflies as well as birds, goannas and fruit bats. It is a place that fills you with awe.Guest review bySylviaAustralia - 10.0
Loved Daintree rainforest and cape tribulation.
Loved Daintree rainforest and cape tribulation. A must see if you are heading to Cairns, Palm Cove or Port.Douglas. It’s is a world heritage site. We did indigenous tour at Mossman gorge which was great. Beautiful tropical trees and fauna. Fresh healthy air. You must do it!Guest review byMichymoo2706Australia - 10.0
Beautiful location, stunning views.
Beautiful location, stunning views. We stayed in large spacious house close to the beach. We took all of our own food as there were excellent kitchen facilities. The beach is stunning. The Daintree area has lots to offer.Guest review byJody - 10.0
We love Mossman as a quick stay on our way to the Daintree.
We love Mossman as a quick stay on our way to the Daintree. The Woolies is great to re stock, we had pies from the lovely organic dough pie shop and were excited to be traveling through on a Saturday as Mossman markets are one of our favorites (and we’ve visited a few!)Guest review bykimAustralia - 10.0

I loved how it was close to the beach and very quiet and peaceful. With a little driving most attractions were close by or within half hour. Spending time in the Daintree was spectacular and I found most of the visitors were respectful of the tranquillity. Half an hour to Port Douglas for shopping or spending the day driving up to Cape Tribulation, river cruise, all great adventures.Guest review byKim - 10.0

Diwan is a one of the oldest parts of the Daintree Rainforest. Just beautiful !!! You need to catch the ferry over the river to get to the northern side to access this location. Need to be aware the cost to catch the ferry back and forth. Many things to do and see on the north side of the river to keep amused.Guest review byJustinAustralia - 10.0
A very unique cottage stay.
A very unique cottage stay. Private water-hole Creek for swimming. Crystal clear water. A wonderful place to escape for peace & quiet in a tranquil setting! Amos was a thoughtful and accommodating host! Fruit trees a plenty which, if in abundant and ready for harvest, you may be offered to help yourself to some fruit.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Wonderful area with lots of natural attractions.
Wonderful area with lots of natural attractions. Highly recommended for nature lovers, hikers and anyone who wants to get away from it all. Getting away from it all includes not a whole lot of phone reception, so take a printed map. Limited groceries available so if you are self catering best to shop beforehand in Cairns or Mossman.Guest review byChristineNew Zealand - 10.0

The whole experience from the ferry ride, meandering along windy roads whilst taking in the magnificent tropical views to our destination was fascinating. The 2023 December cyclone caused chaos with the roads eroding & severely damaged, there are traffic management staff all the way with single lanes & traffic lights along cape tribulation road. Well worth a visit to support the local businesses & Heritage Lodge staff were amazing & our evening dinners were 5 star restaurantGuest review byDebraAustralia - 10.0
Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape...
Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation than Port Douglas, but Port is a very short drive away to be able get to reef cruises and activities there. Mossman is the old town, still with elements of 'country', check out the Exchange Hotel (there is a Woolworths on the edge of town - I wish they'd hide it behind large trees) and a regular market every Saturday (10.00 am - 1.00 pm) in the historic church grounds. It is not overwhelmed by tourism, but the surrounding areas have B&B and accommodation options. Mossman Gorge is an amazing upland rainforest experience. You get one of the mini-busses from the Visitor Info Centre (every 15 mins until 5.30 pm) This takes you to the walking trail. The first part is boardwalk, then an easy bush trail in a circuit. The forest is spectacular, very relaxing to see & hear the water of the Mossman River. Sit on the seating or a rock near the trail and wonder at the profusion of life that fills every space. TIP: Take a towel & wear swimmers, as there is a rock pool about 2/3 of or the way along the bush trail with clear fresh water, safe to wade & cool off in.Guest review byBruceAustralia
