FinlandHighly Recommended place for anybody! Roolagoon Homestead was a home away from home. The location is perfect in exploring the nearby highlights of Kangaroo Isand such as Admirals Arch, Remarkable Rocks, Cape du Coudeic etc, only 20 mins drive! The house is complete with cooking utensils for family dinners, washing machine, dryer, comfy beds, and everything you need! Checking in is very easy! Jonny and Simone are wonderful hosts, they went extra mile in preparing our requested high chair for our little baby. There is wifi! The surrounding environment is so relaxing too! My parents enjoyed sitting in the porch and basking in the sun.There's a bonus of woodcraft gallery where you could see amazing wood crafts you could purchase if you like.

AustraliaAfter a previous booking being cancelled and to get this accommodation on short notice, I was impressed. ane was lovely and very accommodating. The unit was great for our 3 night stay. She told us of its recent upgrade. We found the essentials provided were fine for us. We did make a couple of suggestions for kitchen utensils and was thanked for feedback.
The price was impressive and I thought was great value. Very comfy bed and pillows. The air con did the job on the warm nights.

The views from the room are just spectacular - seeing the sunrise and moonrise over the bay is just breathtaking. Super quiet area with koalas and kangaroos on/around the property! Apartment was incredibly clean with everything you would need provided. It's a 15 minute drive to Kingscote and given collision risk to wildlife at night, we took takeaway dinners on our way back before dusk every evening and ate on the little front patio watching the moon rise over the bay - incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Easy to access any part of the island from here including the national park. Thank you to our hosts for a wonderful stay - would highly recommend! The Accommodation is a three bedroom house located in Kingscote. Spacious, cozy, comfortable and clean. The town had everything we needed for the trip, including a couple of fabulous op shops/book shops. We found the short way into town from the property and explored the coast in both directions, in addition to our longer day trips to different parts of the island. We divided the island into chunks - it only takes an hour to get to the other end - and did north coast one day, south coast another, Penneshaw and surrounds another, and Flinders Chase (twice), plus one day to look around Kingscote itself. Millpond’s location in a quiet street in Penneshaw just minutes from the ferry terminal was our pick. It met our requirements for a quiet holiday by the sea. The hosts - always responsive - evidently took pains to anticipate the needs of guests - we didn’t lack for anything, from the very well-equipped kitchen to comfortable living, dining rooms and bedrooms. It's a lovely beach! Post card quality all the way. Only shame is people are allowed to drive on it, risking the precious wildlife and environment. All the local sites are amazing.
All the local sites are amazing. My favourite was Cape de Couedic and Admirals Arch. The development and natural scenery and spectacular, seascape views are outstanding and most of it is accessible for wheelchairs with quality board walking. I Highly recommend a visit to Kangaroo Island. An amazing and challenging level 3 hike to Snake Lagoon is well worth the effort to the Beach. Lovely Cafe for lunch at Stokes Bay and nice little walk to the ⛱️ beach. Excellent asphalt roads make easy access to most sites. 👏Guest review byBarbaraAustralia - 8.0

We stayed 3 nights, after staying our first night in Kingscote after a late ferry trip from the mainland. . The cabin is situated adjacent to the farmhouse driveway, the cabin's gate was closed, so when we arrived we drove to the farmhouse but nobody welcomed us so I had to call the owner for instructions. The cabin appears to be almost new so the facilities are excellent. We dined once at the Parndarna Hotel and had a good pub meal. What a unique entry to a beach as you walk through the rocks the glimpses of the upcoming beach urges you forward to explore.The rocks open up to an amazing small beach with a rockpool safe for swimming. We were the first people on the beach that day so it was amazing to only see our footprints in the sand.After a great time at the beach head over to Stokes Bay Cafe opened from 11 -5 daily meals were fantastic and reasonably priced. You are a short drive to Pandana for all your grocery needs as Stokes Bay doesn't have a shop for general items. Driving around we were centrally located half way on the island to go and see Kangaroo Island spirits, lavender farm, eucalyptus farm, wool shed, admirals arch and remarkable rocks just make sure you get a entry ticket to Flinders chase the visitor centre Cafe didn't open until 9.30 and didn't accept cash at the Cafe. Short drive to Kingscote to go for lunch or to do some shopping. Had a great time had a small car not a 4wd but still went to all the places the roads were safe and signs easy to follow.
