- From $1,152.24 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 73 reviewsTruly a 10/10 resort experience. The resort itself is magnificent from the showers, to the private pool, to the indoor/outdoor fountains and flowers around your villa. The beds in the villas were extremely comfortable, the closets and amenities were very large, and the showers were extremely comfortable. We spent the majority of our time in the Villa just because of how magnificent it was. I would recommend anyone staying in Port Douglas to stay here, its the nicest resort I stayed in in my life and I was able to stay for $100 USD per night split across 5 people.Guest review byKyleUnited States
- From $364.82 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 186 reviewsWow! I read some negative views and shortened my stay based upon they. I regret that. This was such a beautiful place. Waking up in the morning to the sounds of tropical birds was so relaxing. The staff were over the top with their hospitality. I cannot recommend this place more. Do not read the negative reviews. They are simply inaccurate. One was about walking around at night which we enjoyed as it is so beautiful however the staff is always circling in a cart to drive guests around if they do not want to walk.Guest review byJenniferUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 211 reviewsAbsolutely beautiful. Balinese style setting. I felt I had died and gone to heaven! The 2 pools were great especially the lap pool, definitely big enough for a good workout, most times I was the only one in pool. Quiet and great location. Room was a good size, comfortable mattress, small fridge and kitchenette. Plenty of covered outside sitting areas near the pools with barbecues provided if needed.Guest review byKarenUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 136 reviewsThe location was ideal, just a few of blocks from town for shopping/dinner, less than two blocks from the gorgeous Four Mile Beach, and a little more than that from the marina for our reef cruise. The apartment was spotless, spacious, kitchen well stocked for our needs. Pool was lovely. We were three adults, but I think this would be ideal for a family with young children.Guest review byKathrynUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 360 reviewsFabulous place to stay. Spacious, block out curtains in bedrooms, lovely balcony with comfy chairs. It was fab being across the Rd from the beach as you could hear the ocean. The pool also looked out on beautiful vegetation. My family loved the tennis court. Also 15 min walk to town. There are no lifts so ask for ground floor apartment if don’t like stairs.Guest review byWendyAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 60 reviewsVERY FRIENDLY host/staff and accomodating. Made friends along the stay which was wee bit too short for us. Very comfortable area. One of the Highlights of our stay was the beautiful peacock that made us doesnt feel like we’re in Australia. Would love to stay there again when there’s an event happening.Guest review byFajarUnited Arab Emirates

From where we stayed, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We joined tours to the Great Barrier Reef and to the Daintree Forest/Mossman Gorge. Excellent restaurants/cafes. We particularly enjoyed Salsa, which provided fine dining in a relaxed setting.Guest review byPeteNew Zealand - 10
We love Mossman as a quick stay on our way to the Daintree.
We love Mossman as a quick stay on our way to the Daintree. The Woolies is great to re stock, we had pies from the lovely organic dough pie shop and were excited to be traveling through on a Saturday as Mossman markets are one of our favorites (and we’ve visited a few!)Guest review bykimAustralia - 10

Cottonwood is like an estate all to yourself, well- and fully-appointed, in close proximity to Port Douglas, Mossman, Daintree & the rainforest. More than enough amenities. It might be considered "expensive" by some but not by us, not for what you get for your money. Amenities? It does not lack any and actually exceeds what most would consider "more-than-enough", much less "the basics". And the Hosts are just that, to a tee: Helpful beforehand and during our stay. Thank you very much.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Port Douglas is an interesting North Queensland town with beautiful scenery and plenty of things to do. It has pubs, bars and cafe restaurants as well as a Coles Supermarket. Just wander into town and choose what you want to eat. Very much worth the visit.Guest review byAnonymousAustralia - 10
Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape...
Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation than Port Douglas, but Port is a very short drive away to be able get to reef cruises and activities there. Mossman is the old town, still with elements of 'country', check out the Exchange Hotel (there is a Woolworths on the edge of town - I wish they'd hide it behind large trees) and a regular market every Saturday (10.00 am - 1.00 pm) in the historic church grounds. It is not overwhelmed by tourism, but the surrounding areas have B&B and accommodation options. Mossman Gorge is an amazing upland rainforest experience. You get one of the mini-busses from the Visitor Info Centre (every 15 mins until 5.30 pm) This takes you to the walking trail. The first part is boardwalk, then an easy bush trail in a circuit. The forest is spectacular, very relaxing to see & hear the water of the Mossman River. Sit on the seating or a rock near the trail and wonder at the profusion of life that fills every space. TIP: Take a towel & wear swimmers, as there is a rock pool about 2/3 of or the way along the bush trail with clear fresh water, safe to wade & cool off in.Guest review byBruceAustralia - 8.0
Port Douglas was lovely.
Port Douglas was lovely. Beaches are not the best, not user friendly, crocs and stingers, seen more beautiful and swimable beaches in other parts of Australia. Would definitely go back, was a lay back peaceful town and the Sunday market was great. Bars were fun and plenty of them. Surprised the oysters were from South Australia or Tasmania, thought they would be local, perhaps the crocs would eat them, haha!Guest review byHeatherAustralia - 10
Mossman Gorge is very pretty and worth a visit.
Mossman Gorge is very pretty and worth a visit. Recommend Mandy and Chris' Mossman Gorge B & B. Goodies Cafe is a nice place to have a snack or lunch. Owners and Staff are pleasant and friendly and the food is good too.Guest review byCindyAustralia
