- From $253.17 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 2,191 reviewsWe were meant to stay from 7-16 Mar, cyclone hit and we were able to move our bookings to 28 Mar-6 Apr. We had 7 rooms during our stay (5 for 8 nights and 2 for 3 nights), x4 2 bedroom superior apts, x2 2 bedroom apts and x1 bedroom apt We did request and pay for 2 rooms on the ground. Right up until the day before we arrived, reception was not able to confirm our room numbers. If I'd known how far our 2nd room was going to be and how difficult it was going to be for our mum to go up/down the stairs to and from room, we would've asked to move rooms. We checked in quite late to the resort, so by the time we got in our room, unpacked and relaxed after our international flight, we'd already made ourselves comfortable and used the towels, bathrooms etc; when checking in I did keep telling the receptionist that we had our mum but that didn't seem to factor in her allocating the room. It was our fault for staying in the room. She just took her time walking around the resort Our room was very spacious and the arrival pack (eggs, bread, milk etc;) kids activity pack, free drinks/kids club/mini golf vouchers were much appreciated😊 even the road works outside the resort, you couldn't hear any extra noise where our rooms were located. We appreciated the washing machine and dryer. The resort having trolleys for shopping trips was handy to have. Car parking was a breeze and placed well within your room allocation. The gym was used frequently, games room visited by the kids/teenagers and the cinema was a hit with the under 5's The pools were amazing! there was something for everyone in our group (1yo to 60yo) was nice having the spas beside the pools too If something was broken or you needed an extra blanket, reported it to reception/rung house keeping and it was dealt with immediately. A1 service TIP: bring mat/old towel to use as door mat to wipe up wet floors when rainingGuest review byNayNew Zealand
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 206 reviewsWhat a treat! If you are looking for a luxurious and comfortable retreat from the world, this is the place! Gorgeous location with beautiful surroundings. We loved the spa bath which we enjoyed whilst sipping our complimentary champagne, then slipping into the cozy bathrobes to snuggle on the sofa warmed by the log burner. Absolute heaven. We also enjoyed the breakfast provided, in fact we really didn't want to leave. We tried to book a second night, but unsurprisingly Treetops was booked out. But maybe best of all.... no internet!!! A true country escape, and we have recommended it to many friends already ❤️Guest review byJoyUnited States

Walkable city, albeit great transport options with metro, busses and ferries. QPAC great for entertainment/shows. Southbank and city vibrant lighting at night, connected by good bridges great for pedestrians.Guest review byRPTJMTAustralia - 10
Beautiful beaches the whole way.
Beautiful beaches the whole way. Roads are busy but you can take the light rail and the bike paths are excellent. The surf clubs are excellent options for dining or drinks with an ocean view. Pacific fair in Broadbeach is an excellent and very large shopping mall for clothing especially. Lots of excellent restaurants, particularly in Broadbeach.Guest review byKeithAustralia - 6.0

It's a good place to fly into, and go on and see other places, like the far north and Port Douglas, and on the train up to Kuranda. It's just another city, really. My 3rd time there, and apart from good Vietnamese food, (Pho Viet, opposite the library), there is nothing all that appealing. There are very few taxis, I didn't know this- uber is the way to get about apparently. Otherwise get your walking shoes on. It is slightly cheaper to eat out in Cairns than Port Douglas, though.Guest review byVivienneAustralia - 10

I love the vibe of Airlie beach there is so much activities to experience I love how booking.com also offers activities within the area as this makes it easily accessible to book activities. Where we stayed was walking distance to Main Street shops, night life etc. We are making Airlie beach an annual event.Guest review bySelinaAustralia - 8.0

We visited during the annual festival of flowers. Gardens are lovely. There's also interesting things to do for train enthusiasts. Plenty of shopping and dining options without the stampede of big cities. I was pleasantly surprized by the amount of green spaces and parks. Plenty of space to read a book, picnic or just walk through parks. Lovely museum and cafes to suite your needsGuest review byAnelleAustralia - 10

From where we stayed, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We joined tours to the Great Barrier Reef and to the Daintree Forest/Mossman Gorge. Excellent restaurants/cafes. We particularly enjoyed Salsa, which provided fine dining in a relaxed setting.Guest review byPeteNew Zealand - 8.0

Mackay is a beautiful coastal spot, I'm planning another trip there soon. We visited the Marina, and did some shopping at Canelands. We attended an Engagement party with family there and the venue was beautifully set up, staff were so friendly and the weather was beautiful for a swim and fish and chips.Guest review byCindyExAustralia - 10

Hervey Bay is the best place in the world to see Humpback Whales whether for the juvenials that are people curious (known as August whales) or the Mothers and Calves which arrive from early September through to the end of October. My focus is only on the whales but there are various trips to K'Gari (formerly Fraser Island) either by organised bus tours, self drive or by boat to the West side where kyaking and beach tours plus whale watching in season is available. See Tasman Venture web site for details.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom
