Melbourne has plenty of sites and places to visit.
Melbourne has plenty of sites and places to visit. I would recommend travel Wednesdays to Sundays as a lot of the cocktail bars were closed Mondays and Tuesdays, that is if you are after a nice place to finish off your day.Guest review byJodieAustralia - 8.0

Geelong has a lot to offer with some great restaurants, cafes and pubs for meals. Well located if you want to travel to other places like Lorne, Barwon Heads, Queenscliff, but want more reasonable hotel rates, Geelong is more reasonably priced. Good shopping and great waterfront. Easy to get around with either public transport or car. There’s lots of wineries nearby so that’s also a bonus.Guest review byTraceyAustralia - 8.0

Ballarat is a lovely town with such history and wonderful architecture, the buildings are great. Over two and a half days we enjoyed our George Hotel accommodation, in Lydiard St, close to the Theatres, Cafes and Restaurants. It was in close proximity to the Wildlife Park, Tram Museum and ride, Lake Wendouree and the Botanical Gardens. We enjoyed a trip to the Creswick Woollen Museum. There are many other places to visit.Guest review byDianneAustralia - 10

Easy city to navigate, sightseeing venues central, easy to locate. Staff in shops professional & friendly, happy, good service is shops. Good range of shopping & eateries available, only criticism would be that we couldn’t find a coffee shop open after 4pm on Sunday, apart from the RSL. Botanical gardens worth visiting. Train service from Melbourne very efficient, clean. Station easy walk to shops.Guest review byLorraineAustralia - 10

Really enjoyed the Paddle Steamer excursion and gaining an understanding of the 'lock system' along the river. People were friendly and helpful. Best dining experience was 'Enjoywine Char Grill & Bar'. Amazing food and great service. Also, really enjoyed the visit to Wentworth Gaol and the Wentworth Pioneer Museum - really interesting! Was disappointed that some of the places we wanted to visit were not open Monday to Wednesday - but these are places we can visit next time we are there!Guest review byPeakAustralia - 10

Old Wharf area very interesting with so much to see , donation only to enter interpretive center. Many hotels and cafes to choose from, good selection for meals. We loved the Shamrock pub. If you have time go on a steamboat or ride on a buggy. Very clean town.Guest review byLynneAustralia
