This is an excellent hotel that makes you want to come back! With a great location, very close to the center, with beautiful views around. Friendly staff, perfect cleanliness, spacious modern rooms. Breakfast is wonderful! Large selection of food and very tasty. This is not my first stay at the hotel, and next time I will also stay here with pleasure!

Clean and comfortable room, short walk from the town centre. Parking available on the street, we were lucky to find a space but the host also reserves a space outside the hotel with a water jug. Breakfast was great, traditional options like mekitsa and banitsa as well as lots of cakes.

    We had a great stay at Hotel Elena in Veliko Tarnovo. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming — truly one of the highlights of our visit. We arrived late in the evening, and although the restaurant was about to close, they still made us a pizza, which was a very kind gesture. There’s a nice little terrace to relax on, à la carte breakfast in the morning, and smiles all around from the team throughout our stay. There’s also a convenient parking lot right across from the building, and the hotel is within walking distance to the city center. Highly recommended!

    A wonderful hotel. Very stylish and beautiful. Close to all attractions. Quiet and peaceful street, there is parking. Nice view from the room. The breakfast was very tasty and had everything. The rooms are very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. This place is amazing with its Spa Center, great plunge pool, sauna and steam room. It has nothing to do with the comments I read. I highly recommend this place.

    Arbanasi serves only to provide an alternative base for visiting Veliko Tarnovo - owing to having several hotels with outdoor pools which Veliko Tarnovo lacks. The village is generally fairly derelict and virtually everything is in a poor state of repair - but Arbanasi does offer some fantastic views if your hotel is well situated.

    A lovely, authentic place to relax and rest up while on a road trip in Bulgaria. Very clean, with a great balcony overlooking the back yard and the forest. We played with their many dogs, few cats, and fed the horse carrots we bought in the village store (2 minute walk). Breakfast was typical of the area, and sufficient. The property is on the main road, so it's easy to find, there is parking for guests. The couple is nice, accomodating, will chat with you, but don't bother you. We were very satisfied, and would stay here again.

    It is an interesting village with houses made from rocks. It is a quite place and it offers nice view over Veliko Tarnovo, which is very close. Also the food is very good, we ate at Bolyarsko Selo and we had a 5 stars dinner.

    Veliko Tyrnovo is a lovely town - bigger than I expected...

    Veliko Tyrnovo is a lovely town - bigger than I expected which means it had absolutely everything you might need. There is loads to see, and we will probably return to see more. The main sights are just amazing. There are loads of great restaurants and cafes in the town. Shoutout for Samurai Café, excellent for vegans!

    I liked the rooms but one was not the best. TV was working on and off and the breakfast was too far to go to another building. I believe it could be cooked nicer as well and have a bit more choice. Only one coffee machine installed and when it got busy at the weekend it was very hard to get a hot drink and there was a long queue. Machine ran out of hot chocolate, could hardly find a table to sit to eat breakfast and it was not the best experience as the food ran out. I think there was a group of tourists, but they should have considered the capacity and the restaurant staff levels. The barbecue restaurant was nice, but there was no alcoholic drinks menu so I didn’t know how much the drinks cost. It wasn’t great value for money, but the food was delicious.
