Toronto was an incredibly friendly and vibrant city, full of energy and charm. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by its diverse culture and laid-back atmosphere. There was plenty to see and do, and we never felt short of options. One of the best ways to explore was the hop-on hop-off bus tour—it gave us a fantastic overview of the city’s key landmarks and let us explore at our own pace. We especially enjoyed hopping off at the Distillery District, with its cobbled streets, artisan shops, and great food spots. St. Lawrence Market was another highlight, offering a delicious taste of local flavours and a lively atmosphere. Getting around was easy thanks to Toronto’s streetcars, which were not only affordable but also a fun way to see the city from a local perspective. Whether heading to the waterfront, checking out museums, or strolling through neighbourhoods like Kensington Market or Queen Street West, there was always something interesting to discover. Overall, Toronto offered a perfect mix of sightseeing, convenience, and warm hospitality. It’s a city we’d happily return to—and next time, we’ll stay even longer.Guest review byjoe newmanUnited Kingdom - 8.0

We really liked our first visit in Toronto, from bicycling on Central Island to Casa Loma on (nearly) top of the city. Evening vibes from the sightseeing bus to walking in Allan Horticultural Park. Enjoyed the town art from Chinatown to the 27 dogs fountain. Also enjoyed a variety of lovey food.Guest review byHildegard - 10.0

Was going to show at Budweiser stage. Waterside Inn's proximity to Port Credit GO station was a major consideration, just a short walk ( 7 minutes ) through a pleasant hospitality district and clean residential area directly to terminal door. Very convenient for trip to GO Exhibition stop / Ontario Place.Guest review byMichaelCanada - 6.0

This hotel's staff were audaciously asking for 20% tips at breakfast. When we carried no cash, we were even ask to charge it to our room service bills. We are a senior couple travelling from U.S. and this was our first and last time to Hilton Garden Inn at Markham (Highway 7 and Highway 404). Very bad experience.Guest review byZHENGCanada - 10.0
Brilliant city with lots of things to do.
Brilliant city with lots of things to do. It's a very walkable city. We used public transport and it was good as well. You can buy a day ticket for the subway and trams, which is handy. Eating out isn't that expensive but if you're coeliac you will struggle. I would recommend the Wendy's for a cheap, gluten free salad. We also ate at the CN Tower and they were able to give me a decent, gluten free meal. You will smell lots of cannabis while walking around the city as it's legal in Canada, but don't let this put you off. The city seems safe enough and the people are polite and friendly, on the whole. We will definitely be back.Guest review byKarenUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Loved - the size and configuration of room, closeness to airport and quality of buffet. Second stay - during the first we had a number of issues related to the hotel being newly opened, but they were graciously resolved by the manager. Very annoyed that they still haven't got their "process and systems" fixed so they know which guests have paid for breakfast. Once again you go to breakfast, only to have the concierge tell you your breakfast isn't included even though you have paid for it. Once again standing in line with my family, embarrased that I have to prove to a staff member I have indeed paid for breakfast. Sort this out, the staff are all aware of the issue, they could let guests know its a problem when they check and sort it out proactively so its not an issue in the morning. Or just presume that everyone has paid for breakfast and don't hassle guests to prove they have paid for it. Annoying...but worse for guests who aren't English speakers trying to negotiate for what they have paid for.Guest review byLisaCanada
