The property had everything imaginable that you could have needed. Down to the silly things you might forget to bring from home like cooking spray. There is clearly a great amount of thoughtfulness and care for the guests that the owners have put into this cottage and it made it such a wonderful experience for us. Everything was exactly as described and we were able to fully relax on this vacation.

The location is a 30mims drive from South Baymouth where the ferry lands. The drive is serene and the location is walking minutes away from the harbour. The rooms are clean, the service was above and beyond both by the restaurant at Huron Sands and the rooms. The owner and the staff gave us the best experience. Kindness and humbleness go a long way, so does smiling and they never refrained from it.

Very nice host, helped to get the electrical working, when I arrived. Any requests for assistance were always answered promptly.
Providing a terrace, Twin Peaks B&B provides accommodations in Mindemoya. Both free Wifi and parking on-site are available at the bed and breakfast free of charge.

Our brief stay at Twin Peaks Bed and Breakfast on Manitoulin Island was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the serene surroundings and impeccable hospitality.
Nestled in a prime location, just a short 10-minute drive from the renowned Cup and Saucer trail and a mere 15-minute distance from a stunning waterfall, Twin Peaks offers an ideal base for exploring the island's natural wonders. The convenience of its proximity to these attractions made our visit even more memorable.
The property itself is a true gem, exuding rustic charm and tranquility. The well-maintained grounds are a testament to the hosts' dedication to creating a serene oasis for their guests. Everywhere we looked, we were met with lush greenery and peaceful views.
Cleanliness was evident throughout the property, a detail that didn't go unnoticed. Our accommodations were not only cozy but also impeccably clean, showcasing the hosts' commitment to ensuring a comfortable and hygienic stay.
One of the highlights of our visit was the delicious breakfast. The attention to detail in every dish was apparent, and the flavors were simply delightful. The breakfast not only fueled our day of exploration but also provided a glimpse into the hosts' culinary expertise.
And then there was Leslie, our gracious host. Leslie's warmth, friendliness, and helpfulness truly set the tone for our stay. Her local insights and recommendations enriched our experience on the island, and her genuine care for her guests made us feel like we were staying with friends rather than at a bed and breakfast.
If you find yourself fortunate enough to have Twin Peaks Bed and Breakfast show availability for your desired dates, don't hesitate for a moment. This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of Manitoulin Island while enjoying top-tier hospitality. Our only regret is that we couldn't extend our stay.

Everything. It was super clean. Elizabeth and her son were fantastic hosts - helpful, accommodating and friendly. The patio area was a gem for evening sunset viewing and morning coffee. They were super helpful with the use of their bbq too. Overall it’s top notch, conveniently located near the highway, but far enough back away from it. The town of Manitowaning is really peaceful, and the beach is a 2min drive from the motel. It is a short drive to Sheguiandah and Little Current as well as South Baymouth (ferry terminal). As a former resident of Little Current, returning home for a visit, I discovered Manitowaning from a new perspective and found it to be an amazing little place to stay. Can’t say enough about the Wayside and the owners.

There was someone present in the office.
Very tiny tub (only good for a child). Size ok as a shower base.

Our host Leslie was very welcoming and gave us lots of information about the area for things to do. Our room was well appointed. Breakfast was superb. There was coffee and tea available 24 hours. We would most definitely recommend staying at Twin Peaks to anyone.

Great variety of beaches, some sandy, some stoney, but all with beautiful, warm, clear water. Lovely boardwalks along the harbour front marinas. Wonderful destination for sailors. Several good hikes. Only the main highway through the island has shoulders ample for cyclists.

We chose our motel listing as it said Restaurant attached, however, it was not open. We were given the menu at checkin and told to call the establishment to let them know when we would come for breakfast or dinner, but the restaurant was always closed, we never saw anyone eating there, and when we went to the office at 7:00 PM to return the menu (1/2 of which we were told at check in was no longer available) all of the office doors were locked and there was no reply when we knocked. ( sign said office was open until 10:00). We decided then to eat our meals elsewhere on the island for the rest of our stay. There was nowhere else to eat at providence bay -all restaurants closed! (we were there on a Tuesday and Wednesday, leaving Thursday after Labour Day) The bakery was opening on Friday for weekend guests, and The fish and chip restaurant was closed as well (open only for Saturday and Sunday) the only other place open was a tiny business which sold Jamaican JERK food. There was ice cream available there and pre-wrap snacks.

Nice place to visit.
Nice place to visit. There are nice places for hiking, swimming but almost all the side roads are not paved. Two full days would probably be enough. Make sure you reserve the ferry in advance because you might not get the time you want.
There are some restaurants and Tim Hortons, nice chocolate shop in Kagawong, Gore Bay. All travel information could be found on line or in visitor centre.

Mindemoya is a nice place and basically in the centre of Manitoulin Island so other towns were relatively close. There was a great restaurant next to the Manitoulin Inn that we ate at. The only downfall was that it was pretty much the only restaurant in town. Too bad there weren't more places to eat and nowhere to get breakfast!

We took day trips from Providence Bay to the other parts of Manitoulin Island but didn't visit the Providence Bay beach.

Little Current is a nice little town with a lovely waterfront trail. There is a nice spot for viewing sunsets in the park next to the marina. There are some nice hiking trails within a 30 to 40 minute drive, both on the island and on the mainland near Whitefish River. We were there in early October, the perfect time for hiking, due to comfortable temperatures, fall colours, and not having to contend with mosquitoes.

Excellent value for the money and better than expected given the off-the-beaten track location. Everything was clean and worked perfectly. There were enough electric outlets in sensible locations. The air-conditioning was easy to operate and sufficiently powered for the room. Towels and linens were clean and supplied in sufficient quantity. We LOVED that there was enough coffee for a second little pot to make a coffee for the road on our way. On a drive across country where we stayed at 12 different roadside motels this was the best.

It was our first visit, to see the rest of the island you need transport. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we plan to return. But due to Covid there was no restaurants open for dine in. Or closed for the season. We visited beginning of October.
