The room was clean and of adequate size. The breakfast was great, lots of choices.

Every room has a mind blowing view of the most beautiful mountains I've ever seen. The family room we booked was perfect for us. It had lots of space and lots of beds (about five beds upstairs alone and a separate bedroom downstairs). I could have stayed a week, easily. The hosts are super friendly and the restaurant is really great. Mostly, I'll remember how it felt staying here. It was a beautiful feel. It is so different from other more well known areas where the tourists/visitors are such an overwhelming feature. I love this area and go often there. For the lake, for the views up in the mountains, and for the many activities one can find to do on the lake and in the mountains. There's a wide variety of possible walks for all levels with very different type of sceneries and many creative ideas of activities for kids such as the "kugelweg", "Ballenberg", the dwarfs houses walk... I mostly like the Brienz-Meringen still very authentic side. I do not like Interlaken. From Brienz, it is very easy to travel around by car or public transports.Guest review bySophie A.France - 10.0
