Bad Ragaz: A Renowned Spa Destination
Bad Ragaz: A Renowned Spa Destination Nestled in the Swiss Alps, Bad Ragaz is famous for its thermal springs and world-class wellness retreats. The town’s Tamina Therme offers beutifully designed thermal baths sourced from the nearby Tamina Gorge, a tradition dating back to the Middle Ages. Beyond its spa culture, Bad Ragaz boasts stunning alpine scenery, a golf course , and a charming village atmosphere.Guest review byMary JoSwitzerland - 6.0

Vaduz - and by extension, Liechtenstein - is a little-known destination, not often visited by European tourists (aside from nearby Swiss and Germans, and some Americans). The capital can easily be explored in half a day. The city itself isn’t particularly charming; you can tell it’s a prosperous place, driven by banks and the country’s attractive tax environment for setting up companies. The Prince’s Castle isn’t open to visitors, but you can walk up and see it from the outside. It offers a nice view over Vaduz and the Rhine Valley. Prices are quite high (Switzerland is just next door), and the local cuisine doesn’t really feature distinctive specialties - it’s mostly local twists on Swiss, German, or Austrian dishes. The principality doesn’t have spectacular sights, but it’s worth a short visit just to see it once in your life - for example, to spot the distinctive black license plates marked “FL” for Fürstentum Liechtenstein (Principality of Liechtenstein in German) - though it’s not really a place where you’d want to linger for long.Guest review byJoel_BEBelgium - 8.0

A quaint village on the shores of Lake Walensee, under the impressive Churfirsten (mountain range). Can be busy and crowded on a warm summers day. Best time to visit would be early morning or early evening. If a keen hiker it's a wonderful mid-point stop or end point treat for a meal and a well deserved refreshment. Some lovely local products on sale. A small village but if you stop 'and smell the roses' you'll be rewarded with experiencing the energy that flows through the streets and vineyards.Guest review byRobynneSwitzerland - 8.0

Its too late to come to Malbun for cross country skiing at the beginning of March. We were hopeful for some snow still but all was gone already and unlike in some Swiss resorts there is no snow farming in Malbun/Steg.Guest review byDorota BatorPoland - 8.0

To us important is cycling; there are many nice cycling routes, especially along the river on both sides of the border. Also, we found a great hamburger restaurant in Liechtenstein and Buchs :-) For non-cyclers, if they really see a reason for visiting Liechtenstein, there are a few buses during the day, not many though.Guest review byMS600Switzerland - 10.0

The beauty and charm of the Walenstadt area captured my heart to such an extent that I found myself contemplating the possibility of calling it home. The mesmerising landscapes, coupled with the warm and welcoming atmosphere, created a deep sense of attachment that made me envision a life in this remarkable region. Walenstadt is truly a place that ignites a desire to put down roots and immerse oneself in its captivating surroundings.Guest review byKamper - 8.0

The location in a valley at 500m, surrounded by peaks reaching 2,500m, was great. Unfortunately the Tamina hot springs up the gorge, and the gorge itself, were closed, but I did manage to catch the last day of the season at Heidiland, a charming place. The mineral springs spa is fabulous, where you can enjoy every type of pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and water massages, and, of course, it is immaculately clean and well organised. The tourist tax in Bad Ragaz is a hefty 4.60CHF per night. I found the locals rather cold and snobby. It's a nice place to go to if you like the spa. I did not eat out so cannot recommend restaurants. Sorry. The public transport, like everywhere in Switzerland, is excellent but buses only run once per hour.Guest review byGabriellaIsrael - 8.0

A pleasant town with some very agreeable corners such as Mitteldorf and the Princely Wine Estate. Excellent National Museum although the Art Museum is a disappointment as it contains virtually none of the wonderful paintings owned by the Prince, which surely could be shared between the Liechtenstein Museum in Vienna and the Kunstmuseum in Vaduz. It's easy to get around at the Liechtenstein Card is fantastic value, getting you in free to all sorts of places, including the winery. Remember though that few restaurants are open on a Sunday evening.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Every lace I went, was incredibly wonderful, hiking is incredible, views are amazing. All towns' people are the greatest. Many activities to do, and a lot more that will surprise your visit. I could live there forever. A place that is incredibly friendly and helpful. You will truly enjoy your time there. Restaurants are basically the best zi have ever had. I truly had the time of my life and stay.Guest review byPaxton
