Interlaken was the “cherry on top” of our European travels. The views were amazing (I’ve never seen 30+ paragliders in the sky…in the ALPs no less!!!), the area was so quaint, the locals friendly; and eating Swiss fondue somehow tastes better from the Alps! Wilderswil was a pleasant surprise. a quiet residential community a few kilometers from Interlaken, the area is quiet and friendly. A short bus ride to the main train station and into the city of Interlaken provides access to the rest of the area. The hotel is under new management and maintenance to upgrade the hotel are in full process but as a guest it did not bother me at all. It will take probably some time but in the meantime the place is clean and well taken care off. Breakfast was excellent, the staff is very help full and makes you feel at home. it has a great terrace with a Beautiful view over the valley. Only point of attention is the parking space, there is a private parking garage with a only few reserved spaces for the hotel but the rest is shared with the neighbors. parking around the building is kind of a challenge but a public parking is 100 meters away. Unterseen and Interlaken have a lot to offer. We have spend majority of our time outdoors, enjoying nature. The ski resorts around Unterseen are amazing and within just 30 minutes you are on the slopes but without spending a fortune of money for a hotel, as it is usually the case when staying at a mountain resort.Guest review byJanSwitzerland - 10.0
