Simon is an amazing host . He picked us from airport and showed us around the island. We didn’t hire a car so without him it would be so hard to get around the island. He’s also very knowledgeable about the island . We’ve went on a ride and he talked about each village, some famous for crab , some famous for rugby players.

Our two-week stay at Are Kapakapa was absolutely incredible. This family-run gem offers a unique blend of comfort, hospitality, and natural beauty that truly makes it stand out. From the moment we arrived, Vaa and Joliene, the wonderful hosts who manage the property, welcomed us with such warmth and genuine care that we instantly felt at home. Their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our stay was perfect made the experience unforgettable. The property itself is a slice of paradise. Surrounded by lush coconut trees, the entire house exudes a peaceful charm. One of the highlights of our stay was the close proximity to the beach—just a short walk away. It’s hands down one of the best beaches we’ve ever visited, with pristine sands and crystal-clear waters that made every moment there magical. The house is fantastic—spacious, immaculately clean, and well-equipped to provide a cozy and comfortable experience. The cool sea breeze and the thoughtful layout of the house ensured we were always comfortable. It’s clear that Vaa and Joliene have put great effort into making Are Kapakapa a home away from home for their guests. Another highlight of our stay was exploring the fruit trees around the property. The coconuts were a delightful treat, perfect for a refreshing snack after spending time at the beach. Every aspect of Are Kapakapa reflects the love and effort that Vaa and Joliene pour into their hospitality. The combination of the peaceful atmosphere, thoughtful amenities, and personal touches made our stay truly special. Whether you’re enjoying the serenity of the house, savoring fresh coconuts, or soaking up the beauty of the nearby beach, it’s an experience that stays with you. If you’re searching for a place that combines comfort, natural beauty, and an authentic family vibe, Are Kapakapa is the ideal choice. We left with cherished memories and are already counting down the days until we can return!

Dylan was great. He helped us organise to go kite surfing, renting a scooter and picked us uo from the airport and took us back. He was always available to help. The view from the sunbeds was beautiful. Nice sandy beach. Great to have free kayaks and a swimming pool. Filtered water tap to fill up on water. Scooter rental on site so very easy to organise. Books available in reception. Bishop's boat cruise and vaka cruise in walking distance. 2 restaurants and one cafe all in walking distance too.

We stayed in Villa 100 , on beachfront which we were so impressed with. It was huge !. Had its own private entrance onto beach right by lagoon , a front open lounge / dining area with roof , that looked out on stunning views of lagoon and beach : no other thatched cottages/ villas either side , so very private. Next to pool . Kitchenette area was well stocked with coffee machine , fridge , freezer , electric plug in hob , basic kitchen equipment. Bedroom was huge , with great air con and also ceiling fans , with very large double shower ensuite and separate toilet. The ambience of the resort is very friendly , all staff in restaurant were lovely . Food is exceptional at night and at breakfast. Options to walk down beach from here to other resort bars if needed. Their Cultural Island Feast with dancing performance & music was incredible . A huge buffet to help yourself from and live music , Polynesian local dancing. We loved staying at Tamaru . The Manager checked on everyone staying which was great customer service. Highly recommend this place .

We absolutely loved our stay at Matriki! Although we spent four nights there, it felt far too short. Matthias is an exceptional host, full of fascinating knowledge about Aitutaki and its history, making every conversation insightful. We also joined his boat tour around the lagoon, which was truly unforgettable. Unlike other tour companies, Matthias takes his time, ensuring you can fully relax and enjoy the experience without ever feeling rushed.

We had a wonderful stay at Etu Moana. We were looking for a sanctuary to rest and relax and this was perfect. Lovely grounds, villa, and staff. Small and discrete. The breakfast provided was very good. The orientation with Molly was fantastic and the recommendations were spot on.

Great location and value for money.

Great location and value for money. Clean and comfortable with excellent wifi connection. Niki organised our scooter rentals with no issues and readily available to answer any questions we may have and offer options for activities in Aitutaki. Our transfers to and from the Airport was done by Jeremiah who was friendl, very helpful and informative. A great place for family wanting budget accommodation in a convenient location.

I loved the friendliness of the islanders.

I loved the friendliness of the islanders. My bike chain came off 3 times on a ride to the grocery store. Each time an islander came out of their house, or stopped their car to help. Once on a walk, a woman invited us to her porch and gave us 15 mangoes. In today’s troubled these acts of kindness by the cook islanders, was such a reassuring thing.

Loved the location and beach views.

Loved the location and beach views. A small amount of eating facilities in the area, and most were very good. We used tourist activity vans to be picked up and delivered, plus our accommodation did transfers to/from airport. So we did not have transport. Readily available car and scooter rental at our accommodation had we wanted it. Recommend the lagoon tours at Aitutaki
