We had an incredible stay. and a big part of that was thanks to the amazing front desk team. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The receptionists, Belle, Juliya, Vivi, Lily, and Joey, were all outstanding – professional, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. They made check-in a breeze, gave us great recommendations for things to do around town, and were always available to assist with any questions or requests we had. Their attention to detail and genuine care for guests truly made our experience memorable. Whether it was directions, extra amenities, or just a friendly chat, this team went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Great location on a very nice street, next to a park, Sichuan Opera House is one minute walk away! The hotel itself is clean, modern and stylish, the breakfasts are good, there were very tasty flower cakes in the room as a compliment when I checked in. I would like to highlight the work of one member of staff with excellent English, she magically appeared every time when needed and helped with everything, thank you!

very nice hotel, wit ha kind of luxury decoration and my room was upgraded for free as a booking genius member and it was really huge, several rooms, 2 bathrooms, very spacey master bathroom with bathtub and panoramic windows. the bed was big and comfy, everything very good, the breakfast has a great variety and a terrace for smokers. really loved the hotel

I enjoyed staying at Kempinski in Chengdu. Lovely hotel, great spacious, modern and clean rooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I was not impressed with swimming pool and spa area but I still would come back here next time. In my opinion it's one of the best hotels in the city alongside The Ritz Carlton and The Temple House.

    We had a fantastic stay at Temple House. The property is atmospheric and very conveniently located in a vibrant part of Chengdu. The concierge team make the experience very personal, helping to book tickets for attractions and even getting us meal tickets for restaurants so that we didn't need to wait in line. The service and attention to detail set Temple House apart from other high end hotels we stayed at in China. The pool is beautiful and yoga on a Saturday morning in the grounds was an unexpected highlight. We were lucky to get an upgrade to one of the Residences which had a great view and was super spacious. Special shout out to Troy, Dennis, Bolun and Max for looking after us for three nights whilst we celebrated our anniversary. We didn't want to leave! We also had an incredible vegetarian dinner at the Mi Xun Teahouse which made a pleasant change from all the meat we consumed on the trip.

    Chengdu is a beautiful, modern city. It is a hub from which you can get to other scenic areas in Sichuan Province, like Jiuzhaigou, Ermei Mountain. Only downside is that the food has a lack of variety. You typically only find Sichuan foods there which are usually spicy.

    2 Days for visiting Jiuzhaigou National Park is strongly recommend since you don't have to rush and can take time to immerse yourself in the beautiful nature. There are many beautiful scenic spot in the National Park, if possible, pls. book VIP bus in the park because you can stop at any place that you like.

    I’ve had a long stopover and needed a place to rest and sleep. Airport pickup was excellent, its short drive, checking was swift and I was in crispy clean sheets after a 10 hours of flight from Sydney. I had a great rest and shower, they drove me to airport for my next flight to Istanbul. I’ve arrived fresh and rested. Thanks to hotel staff🧿 it was excellent. I will be staying there again on my way back home to Australia again. I highly recommend.

    You better be fit!

    You better be fit! We walked 127 flights of steps and 17,000 steps and yet we only touched the bare surface of this magnificent mountain range with its stunning flora & fauna, wild & aggressive monkeys and breathtaking temples.

    I mostly travel alone and I like a city that I can negotiate using the metro in preference to buses, or else I make a plan and walk. Chengdu is very flat so no problem walking ... I managed to see everything on my plan. The Metro is very easy to use and also provides links to major fast train stations. I visited the Panda enclosure on my own - very easy as the Metro stops nearby and a shuttle bus takes you the rest of the way. I found no problem walking around on my own as there are plenty of signs.

    I guess climbing Emeishan is all about how lucky you are that day with the weather. We had no luck as it was cloudy and raining so we had no view at all from the mountain. Avoid it during Chinese holidays as there is too many people (we had no choice). Check the weather before you decide to climb so you dont waste your time up there

    A very relaxed and clean city, with very helpful people, though most of them struggled to communicate in English. It was very easy to get around the city, thanks to an excellent and highly efficient Metro subway system. Payment for services is difficult if you only have overseas credit cards, so travellers are well advised to download a Chinese app like Alipay. Make sure you visit the Panda Park!
