The location could not be better. I parked on P1 and walked to the hotel. It’s a few hundred meters. It’s an ancient city do forget about your suitcase wheels making it out alive. The hotel offers discounted parking tariffs. Employees go out of there way to make your stay perfect. Breakfast is good.

    Location of the property was excellent, just next to the Zlata Koruna monastery and in the middle of the village. Breakfast was included in the very affordable price and it was best we have had in Czech Republic so far. Morning breakfast ( including scrambled eggs,warm ham, tea, coffee, donuts, jam, butter etc) was cooked to perfection and we had freshly baked bread and buns, even it was on Sunday = very nice surprise.. staff was exceptionally nice and they were very friendly. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommending it . 5*

    A pretty set of two houses on the outskirts of town. The 20-min walk from the centre is lovely and picturesque, though really only walkable daytime, as there aren't enough street lamps along the way. Our room was a good size for two, neutrally and tastefully furnished, with anti-gnat window nets-:) There is a kettle, and a fridge. The staff offer a pickup from the station for a small fee. The breakfast is good (though a tad monotone if you stay longer). A nearby camping is another plus, as you can rent bikes there, and there is a pub.

    We can't say enough about this incredible place in Cesky Krumlov - and if you're debating doing it in a daytrip from Prague or staying over - stay at least a couple of nights and you won't regret it! This former mill has been converted to the highest possible standards. Our room was enormous, looked out over the river and we had access to the hot tub overlooking the castle - incredible memories! They were very welcoming to our children and left us a bottle of champagne as a welcome present!

    We loved stay at the hotel as it was really close to the town center. You must remember it is not new build hotel, therefore it has some magic staying in little older room but that is nice as well. Staff were friendly and we were very satisfied. As it is in town, we parked car little bit behind the city but by walking distance.

    This was one of the best short trips I had had in a long time. The city is fantastic, it has much to offer to people who are into history, art and architecture. Highly recommended despite a lot of tourists roaming the streets. Bets time to visit - probably late October.

    Easy to navigate on arrival in car. The old town is nice, with a pretty main square of arcaded buildings. It is a quiet town with cafes and restaurants. It makes a very good base for sightseeing nearby tourist sights - including Cesy Krumlov, Rozmberk and Hluboka.

    Very pleasant town. Good choice of restaurants. Municipal beach within walking distance – 70 crowns per day. For a snack, try the fried carp from the stand by the lake. Bike hire info from the tourist office is out of date. Best bet is to go to the railway station, which hires bikes. If you don’t speak Czech, German will get you through...

    The place is truly picturesque: right nearby lies a quiet lake, surrounded by lush green forest. Just a hundred meters from the hotel, there is a lift that takes guests straight into a magical woodland with breathtaking views. Along the forest trails, you can enjoy peaceful walks, or, if you wish, rent bicycles or scooters and set off on a little journey among the trees and fresh air. The hotel itself is a highlight of the area. It offers delicious and varied food, with a warm, friendly, almost family-like atmosphere. Cozy restaurants and cafés are within walking distance, so everyone can find something to their taste.

    The Old Town was really lovely.

    The Old Town was really lovely. The large main square had nice buildings around it and the town was pleasant to wander in. There were many little cafes and restaurants. The walls and towers were interesting to see, and there were fabulous views over the surrounding town. Accomodation there was not expensive which was a bonus. There were day trips to other sites within reach.

    Unfortunately my stay was too short and the weather was not on our side. We only saw Hluboka Castle, which we were very impressed by. Great architecture, exterior and interior. An incredible experience. Definitely worth seeing.

    Pisek is known as "Little Prague."

    Pisek is known as "Little Prague." It is a lovely, historic town on the Otava River with great restaurants and cafes, a stone bridge that is older than Charles Bridge in Prague, an interesting city museum, and easy access to numerous hiking and bicycling trails. Great castles (e.g. Orlik, Zvikov) are nearby. It was liberated by the US 3rd Army at the end of WWII. Well worth a visit!

    So many twisty streets to follow and then, BAM, a gorgeous group of buildings, or a fabulous church. Lots of lovely spots to enjoy food and drink. The Gobelin tapestry museum and tour really satisfied my love of Czech crafts.

    We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed Cesky Krumlov and the surrounding area. The house is set up well and spotless. Everything you need is there. It overlooks a pasture and is next to the local lake. You are in rural CR and it is fantastic. The surroundings give you a great feel of the "real" Czech Republic. Very highly recommended.

    A beautiful place full of culture. we stayed for 3 days but 2 would have been sufficient as we had walked and seen everything we wanted to by then. we will definitely be going back in the future. the Castle grounds are a must with a large extensive garden which was so lovely to walk around.
