The hotel itself was impeccably clean, and the location was perfect, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. However, I did encounter an issue with one of the staff members in the lobby bar. When we asked to place an order, he told us the bar was closed. A few minutes later, we asked another staff member, who happily took our order without any issues. This left us feeling unsure about the first staff member's behavior, as it seemed potentially discriminatory. This was my first visit here as a tourist.
This was my first visit here as a tourist. I was not disappointed by the variety of activities on offer although I chose to walk around the central district a lot and admire the wide variety of architectural styles. I was surprised at the lack of small cafes and bars on the central district and the dearth of public toilets available there. Hotel and restaurant staff were invariably courteous and helpful. My brother had his phone stolen in an outside bar area but in retrospect this could have been avoided. Restaurants of all types were good and we managed to avoid pork knuckle and curry wurst. Public transport is easy to navigate and frequent. We had bought the much-lauded Hamburg Card for discount on transport but no one asked to see it over a 3-day period.Guest review byTomUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It's astonishing that this city does not get more attention. Great music scene and museums. Restaurants and shopping can compete with any city in Europe, maybe with the exception of London and Paris.
