- From $218.69 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 310 reviewsSuch a charming and intimate place! With quirky, personal touches sprinkled throughout. We felt very much at home at Hornbækhus, and enjoyed exploring each of the nooks and crannies it had to offer. We partook in the community dinner, which was fun and delicious, and breakfast was nice as well (keep in mind, it's not a buffet - you order from a menu). Our room felt very cozy, however the real charm was coming out of the room and reading a book or enjoying a cocktail in the "living room" and going on long walks along the beach close by.Guest review byNina ParkDenmark

We stayed a total of 9 nights in Copenhagen.
We stayed a total of 9 nights in Copenhagen. We visited several palaces, some museums, and took a boat ride. We took excursions outside the city as well. Everything in Copenhagen is outrageously expensive, from your glass of beer to your hotel room. I scarcely bought any souvenirs as a result. I am not recommending Copenhagen to my friends. We have visited so many other beautiful European cities that didn't charge us an arm and a leg for everything.Guest review byBAKER BAKERUnited States - 10.0
Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen.
Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen. I don't know that I'd have ever thought to go there but my son decided to get married there. It was an ideal meeting place for both families as his wife is from Germany. There are lots of lovely shops and restaurants and the ferry to Sweden is super easy to catch. We enjoyed our short stay. :)Guest review byOliviaUnited States - 10.0

Whilst it does not have the charm of Helsingor, Roskilde has many attractions, especially the cathedral with its many excellent royal tombs, the town square, and the Viking Ships Museum which introduces the visitor not only to these remarkable survivors, but to the entire Viking world.Guest review byKeithUnited Kingdom - 10.0
I traveled by train from Copenhagen to do a 3 day hike.
I traveled by train from Copenhagen to do a 3 day hike. Koge was such a pleasant surprise - gorgeous architecture, good little hotel close to the market square, lots of amenities (shops/restaurants). Took a bus from train station (get your bus and train tickets in a 7 Eleven) to furthest point to hike to Stevens Klimt. Had to return there that night to connect onto another train to Mons Island - amazing hiking spot! Koge is not a touristy town so really nice to see the Danes doing their market shopping on a saturday morning too. Great restaurants too.Guest review byBirgittaAustralia - 6.0
A city famous for its castle.
A city famous for its castle. Otherwise, classic countryside, from the point of view of gastronomy, nothing that would in any way stand out above the Danish standard. Bad taxi service, quite problematic for those who don't come by car.Guest review byJanCzech Republic - 10.0

The hotel is clean and very close to the train station so, it was very easy to get to central station which gives you access to all the trains that will get you to where you want to go. You can catch a train direct from the airport to Tastrup train station and walk less than 5 minutes to the hotel.Guest review byAnnaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Very clean, newly renovated, quiet. The room well appointed.
Very clean, newly renovated, quiet. The room well appointed. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is in a small shopping area with a supermarket, small restaurants and every convenience very close. It’s a bit out of the city centre, so maybe not ideal if you are sightseeing in Copenhagen, but it’s on a bus line. My only small gripe- the pillows were small and we could have used two each and the winter bedcovers were too warm for June. Otherwise a great hotel where we will definitely stay again.Guest review byLynnAustria - 10.0

It dark in these time of the year, but it is a great and green place. Friendly people and possibly nice path for recreations. I were business there though. I would say the staff in the 7 eleven at the station I do like the best, however at late card terminal may not be operation. Feeling safe.Guest review byMihályFinland - 8.0

It's a quiet hotel, even though it's on a busy road. The guests room are in a wing off the back, where it's nice and quiet. Breakfast was good though coffee disappointing, compared to other hotels we've used in Europe. We would stay againGuest review bySaraUnited States - 10.0

Copenhagen felt a safe place to walk around and the local people are always friendly and helpful. The city is easy to navigate with an excellent public transport system. Many attractions are within a reasonable walking distance. There is plenty to visit, so buying the Copenhagen Card (available for 24/48/72 hours) for subsequent free public transport and admission to most attractions is very good value for money. There is a wide range of eating options from street market food to fine dining restaurants. For excellent, honest, inexpensive and quirky Italian dining try Fabro's (Borgergade 134, 1310 København - near the Marble Church). It specialises in four pasta dishes (go next door for pizzas) and you must chalk your name on the board outside and wait to be called (drinks are available to buy while you wait). The sightseeing river cruises are worthwhile for an alternative view of Copenhagen - made more so by the humorous commentary given by the onboard English-speaking tour guide. So many great things to see but, alas, never enough time to do so.Guest review byMadeleineUnited Kingdom
