FAQs about hotels in Andalucía
Pulsating with History and Tradition
Resounding with flamenco, the fabulous Spanish region of Andalusia (or Andalucía) has world-class attractions, wonderful scenery and welcoming beaches.
Some of the best Andalusia hotels are in Costa del Sol resorts including Nerja and glitzy Marbella, neighbour of exclusive Puerto Banús. Nearby is Málaga, Picasso’s city with relics of its Roman past.
Moorish influences have also left magnificent marks. Formerly a mosque, the incredible Córdoba Mezquita is now a cathedral. Against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountains, the Alhambra is a former sultans’ residence looking down on lovely Granada, home to some romantic Andalucia hotels and apartments on Booking.com.
You can ski in the Sierra Nevada, and also in mountains by Aracena north of Seville, the region’s sun-drenched capital with a gigantic Gothic cathedral and amazing architecture in Plaza de España. It also has a ring where controversial bullfighting occurs.
Its nearest beaches are on the Costa de la Luz, between Isla Canela (by Portugal) and Tarifa. Nearby is Algeciras, across the bay from Gibraltar. Other popular Andalusia beaches are in Costa de Almería resorts including Roquetas de Mar and Mojacar.
Inland, on a steep escarpment, Arcos de la Frontera, is one of the White Villages of Andalusia. Nearby is Jerez, home of sherry. To the east is Ronda with its high bridge spanning a deep gorge.

Seville isn't as beautiful or modern as the other cities in Spain I've visited, which include Valencia, Alicante, Granada and Malaga. Its historic center is huge, but is not nearly as impressive as that of Granada, Valencia and Malaga. Yes, the Maria Luisa park was impressive with its historic buildings, and the San Nicolas overlooked was a great place to view the Alhambra castle. But since I'm considering relocating to Spain, I prefer a city that has more to offer on a daily basis than churches and a beautiful castle.Guest review byAngeloUnited States - 10.0
Malaga is beautiful.
Malaga is beautiful. I had no idea it was such a pretty city. Easy transport, not too expensive, close to beaches. Loads of vibrant cafes and bars, very attractive architecture, lots of interesting streets to explore.Guest review byCharlotte - 10.0

Lovely historic city with beautiful architecture, amazing food and people. Note that the main sights might be sold out very early so make sure to book them well in advance. Not the best city for someone who has mobility issues as there are quite a few steps to the main sights.Guest review byAnniFinland - 10.0

A hidden gem of a city, you must go yourself and discover it. If you like wandering around and just getting lost it’s the place for you. A surprise around every corner, wonderful architectural and historical buildings. It had a wonderful vibe about it, great tapas bars and restaurants, we did a little research on YouTube and found some amazing places, full of wonderful Spanish people out to enjoy the day/night, embrace their culture and you will be embraced in return. They Mezquita is outstanding.Guest review byWilliamUnited Kingdom - 10.0

great place to visit, easy access to Malaga airport, and a super variety of restaurants at reasonable prices. Also, I felt safe even walking around on my own, which is a real bonus as an elderly woman.Guest review bytrichIreland - 10.0
Great choice of bars and restaurants with amazing history.
Great choice of bars and restaurants with amazing history. The place is littered with brilliant architecture and Roman Phoenician and Moorish history. The narrow streets are vibrant in the evening with a mix of tourists and local families. Loved it.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We stayed in a beautiful beachfront apartment and would highly recommend this. This was our second time in Benalmádena and it did not disappoint. We found the locals in the shops, restaurants, and bars to be exceptionally pleasant and very welcoming. We stayed in the first week of October and the weather was beautiful. Benalmádena was a great choice and we will hopefully return!Guest review byMaryUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Amazing things to walk to and view.
Amazing things to walk to and view. Very very busy for first of October. Was easy to park our car close for €22. We came late afternoon. Stayed two pms. Left early next morning. Two full days was good though one pm ( one full day to see the sites )would have been ok with an afternoon check in, a day to explore and then late morning departure. I am not fond of a lot of sightseeing and crowds.Guest review byLynneUnited States - 8.0

It was a but rough in the bars just outside where we stayed but overall it was a nice place with pretty squares & nice shops. Lots of restaurants with a wide selection of outside eateries. Many golfers so lots of places had tvs showing sports. It was atmospheric & friendly. The local bus & train station were nearby & went to lots of other places up & down the coast.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom
