The property was amazing…we did not want to leave. We did not come to Benicassim for a holiday. Instead we were there to visit the Diagnostic Lab in Castello de La Plana. We were wonderfully surprised by Benicassim and the hospitality of its residents and we will definitely be back! We loved our stay at Hotel Albades and cannot speak highly enough of it. The staff were amazing, very helpful and keen to ensure our stay was a good one. The food was excellent and sitting outside next to the pool was very special. Gracias y volveremos - I hope I got that right. The beach is only 200m from reception and the foreshore in the evenings was a highlight for us…Benicassim cam alive!

Colourful and Charming Castellon

The mountainous region of Castellón is a great destination for visitors that want to enjoy hiking and mountain walks in the beautiful country of Spain. The province of Castellón is popular for the citrus and vegetable production.

Located on a plain between the mountain range of Desert de les Palmes and the Balearic Sea, Castellón de la Plana is the capital of the region of Castellón.     First impressions of this hotel when you drive through the front gate are very favourable and as soon as you walk through the front doors it just gets better. The gentleman on reception was extremely polite and helpful and although we were too early to book in he gave us security cards to help us get in and out of the hotel and sent us on our way to explore with a promise to call us as soon as the room was ready. There are bars and restaurants throughout the hotel but we chose to walk to a local beach bar around 100 metres away and sat on the sand with a beer and tapas. Sure enough we received our telephone call to say that the room was ready and we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. There is a very nice sea view from the balcony and the bathroom is probably one of the brightest and biggest I've ever seen. Breakfast was a self service buffet in the restaurant but there was plenty of choice and we were certainly not disappointed. When we checked out next morning it was the same gentleman on reception, and even though we had only stayed for one night he gave us a complimentary bottle of water each for our onward journey together with a free sunscreen for the windscreen of our car, a very nice touch and very gratefully received. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

    This camping site is amazing, so well organised, the pool is clean and looked after, the chalets are so clean, great layout and well equipped (including air conditioning unit). The outside looks like paradise, so many tropical plants, it’s so green (some plants smell beautifully at night)! The beach nearby is mostly rocky, but my children enjoyed so much snorkelling there all day, watching fish and marina life. We saw amazing giant jellyfish, it was stunning! We were sad to leave but hopefully we will be returning next year! I highly recommend this camping place! Thank you for this amazing experience!

Every morning we enjoyed delicious food with a beautiful view! From both the rooms and the pool, you can see the sea from the hillside – the view is so enchanting that you don’t even feel like going anywhere else, just relaxing by the pool and watching the waves.     Very nice hotel located close to the river with thermal pools. The hotel was clean and comfortable with a good sized room overlooking the river, and the staff friendly. We booked half board but ended up having lunch there on the day we arrived because we had difficulty finding somewhere in the town to eat. The food was very good with a selection of 5 starters, mains and dessert, with water and bread included.

    Castellón is a very pleasant town with many small piazzas decorated with modern sculptures and plants. There is a good choice of lively bars and restaurants. We left the car in the hotel underground car park and walked everywhere. The old town is traffic free, with electric buses.

    The people was amazing warm friendly and helpful. found some nice places to eat and drink 6 large beers 10 euro tapas at 3 euro a dish. no language problem 90% spoke English to my sadness and embarrassment that I could not speak Spanish. Bar Restaurant Rincon, Carrer la Vall d'Uixó, Nules, Spain Good food warm atmosphere helpful and cheap 3euros a dish taberna taurina pza doctor maranon 1 12005 castellon excellent food not cheap 18E 15E 12E per dish. Entrie Amigos opposite learoy merlin Castellón de la Plana, food looked good 3 course 12e 6 lg beers 10e

    Lovely walk along the beach front to the quaint old town and castle. Beaches were clean and tidy with beach bars on the sand and umbrella shades / beds for those that want them. So much choice for where to eat / drink. Very family friendly.
