- From $280.02 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,002 reviewsEvery staff member here seems to want to be here and are not just here as a job. From check in to restaurant to spa to wine tasting everyone is extremely caring and want to make the stay the best possible Food was delicious and huge portions. Wine is different which makes it a really good experience and not like everywhere else. Spa was brilliant and very relaxing. They are very particular about privacy in the spa so you actually land up getting a very private space for the time booked. Very thoughtful If you are in the area I would highly recommend at least a night stay. You will leave feeling like a princess/ prince when you leave as that's how much effort the staff put in.Guest review byParthAustralia
- From $118.51 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,564 reviewsWe had a beautiful spacious room with a sitting area, lobby and bathroom. Our son had a very decent sized regular room. Each room had a safe and a fridge, and was refreshed daily with a big bottle of water and toiletries.Everything was well thought out. The location was fabulous - our room overlooked a formal garden by the city walls. The food outstanding - I would recommend the half board plan. There were several sitting rooms and it was a treat to have hot chocolate, tea and cake in front of a big open fireplace.Guest review byElizabethCanada

The most beautiful swimming pool - gothic style! Great restaurant and bar where you can get all the meals, and a very cute store with their products. Free parking and right net to main roads. Ideally for a 1-night stay on the road and also to spend few days enjoying the hotel!Guest review byLaraPortugal

Yes, it looks a little weird... but don't let that stop you from staying here. The rooms are huge, the jacuzzi is wonderful, the bed is super comfy and the staff (although invisible) is super helpful. Great value as well. We stayed in the Old Town in central Leon and it was fantastic. Beautiful plaza’s around most corners and wonderful buildings of Gaudi and Leon Cathedral which are amazing. Food and drink very cheap and most bars provide a tapas with every drink.Guest review bySEANUnited Kingdom - 2.0
Disgusting place. Rude person on the desk. Parking?
Disgusting place. Rude person on the desk. Parking? Forget it. A garage shared by the entire old building with spaces too small for any modern car. The front desk person has to walk ahead of you and point out the space you must park in - disgusting. That is my only way to describe this hotel from hell.Guest review byCatherinePortugal - 10.0
Valladolid surprises.
Valladolid surprises. At face value it doesn't match up to its illlustrious neighbours, but it reveals itself as you stay longer. There are many monuments, multiple and varied churches, parks, 2 outdoor pools, a riverside swimming beach, and it is where Christopher Columbus spent his last days (check out the museum). Don't expect English to be widely spoken and tours and museums are nearly all in Spanish. Plenty of dining options and adequate shopping. I wouldn't say the populace embraces visitors, but then again they don't spray them with water pistols either.Guest review bymarkUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The Cathedral & city walls are magnificent. There are plenty of 3 *** & 4 **** hotels & restaurants. There are also lots of cheaper places to eat & drink. Try the Posada de la Fruta, Plaza Pedro Davila for lovely ambience & service.Guest review bySIMONUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Segovia is beautiful with a number of historic sites and places to stop and rejuvenate. I highly recommend the cafe in front of the Alcazar which has the most wonderful terrace at the back with spectacular views.Guest review byOonagh - 10.0

Ponferrada seems a really nice city. We didn’t get time to visit the castle or cathedral but our friend did and she said both are really great and well worth a visit. Loads of restaurants and places to eat.Guest review bySEANUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The hotel was in a good location although not easy to find and there wasn’t free parking on the site. Not far from the restaurants and near the river with a nice walk. We only stayed overnight enroute on our journey. We have stayed at nh hotels before and find them very comfortable and clean.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I wanted to visit Soria because of the nearby archeological site of Numancia. I had read El Cerco de Numancia by Cervantes as a student and remembered the site. The Museo Numantino in Soria has fascinating artifacts from the archeological site and other locations in the area. Wonderful Roman glass, pottery, jewelry and sculptures. In addition, Soria is a lovely medieval small city well-worth a visit away from more crowded tourist locations such as Barcelona and San Sebastian...Guest review byMichelleUnited States - 10.0

If you are a fan of Gaudi's architecture , a lover of history, or a Camino Pilgrim, then this town is a must for a couple of days visit. The old city is easy to navigate on foot. The chocolate museum is also worthwhile if your time allows. If we were traveling by car then I think we should have liked to stay an additional night and explore some of the surrounding area. As it was we were slowly making our way by bus from Santiago de Compostella to fly out of Madrid after having walked the Portuguese Camino.Guest review byTraceyAustralia
