This is a very well managed property in a nice secluded village. The prime location directly at the shore of a crystal clear beach overlooking the dragonera island makes this hotel ideal for relaxation for nature lovers. The relaxed little village offers a variety of restaurants, little shops, a bakery, and a couple of supermarkets. There is a supermarket right across the street from the hotel with many healthy options and freshly baked goods. The restaurants along the beach are walking distance from the hotel. The hotel’s restaurant is also a very good option if you don’t want to walk (but it’s more pricey, which is normal for a hotel). The breakfast is great, with many fresh to order eggs, porridge, and pancakes. The room is comfortable and clean with a minimalist atmosphere with maximum use of the space.

Amazing location, if you take the old train from Palma, it is only a 5 min walk to the hotel. Car was not necessary during our stay. Close to tram stop which takes you to Port de Soller. Breakfast had good variety of cold meats, fruit, bread, hot food, pastries, coffee and juice. Pool was the best bit, nothing better than after a day of exploring, to come back and relax by the pool with a drink! I can see some people complain about the old feel to the rooms, but what do you expect for an old building! It did feel older, but it was extremely clean which is more important for me than the look. It was also nice and spacious. Try and stay during a Saturday, the markets nearby are cool!

A firm favourite with sun-seekers, Majorca (or Mallorca) is the largest Balearic Island. The enchanting capital Palma has a grand cathedral overlooking the harbour, a 14th-century castle and Arab baths, to name just a few highlights. Nearby is Palma Nova, home to lots of Majorca hotels on the beach within easy reach of the fantastic nightlife in Magaluf. Further along are calmer Santa Ponsa and Port d’Andratx. In the opposite direction, S’Arenal has a fantastic, palm-lined beach and quick airport transfers. North of the island is UNESCO World Heritage-listed Serra de Tramuntana whose mountain lakes are absolutely beautiful. A trip to its highest peak – Puig Major – offers wonderful views. Down below is Port de Soller, a lovely town with some excellent Majorca hotels for families. Other popular family resorts are Alcudia with its long sandy beach, and neighbouring Port de Pollenca. Ruins of the Roman town of Pollentia are nearby. In the east Cala Ratjada benefits from 2 beautiful coastlines, while the beaches at Cala Bona and Cala Millor certainly live up to their names – Good and Best. Cala d’Or (Golden Cove) is another aptly named resort: its golden, sandy beach is nestled between rocks lapped by turquoise waters.     Playa de Palma is probably the best beach and swimming experience I've ever had. The sand beach is nearly perfect, the water is crystal clear; it is a very shallow entry beach – something I usually dislike – but in this case it makes fun swimming 200-300 m off the cost and returning back. Very beautiful promenade. Lots of restaurants and shops. A half-hour away from the city of Palma, which is magnificent. Overall, a great sea resort experience.

    I had three days of holiday, and I just wanted to go to the warm sea and take my child to the water park. That's why I chose El Arenal, because it's quite close to the airport and the water park, and I didn't have to waste time travelling. The main advantage of the city is, of course, the sea. But you have to be very careful here. I saw local thieves trying to steal things from holidaymakers at the sea or goods from shops more than once. Another unpleasant thing was that there was a persistent smell of urine in the narrow streets near the promenade, even though the streets were washed by the owners of shops and cafes. But this is most likely the fault of tourists who walked around at night.

    Magaluf is a great destination for those who enjoy nightlife and clubbing – there are plenty of bars and clubs to choose from, offering something for everyone. You'll also find large supermarkets and a wide variety of good restaurants. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for a romantic getaway, as it's more lively and party-oriented. It’s a convenient base for exploring the southern part of Mallorca and is close to Palma. Renting a car on the island is easy and can be done at affordable prices.

    Typical Spanish tourist town.

    Typical Spanish tourist town. Plenty of good bars and restaurants, some with live music. Would of like it to be a bit more boutique'y and a little less Spanish/British bucket and spade. So not a lot to see, unless you like these very typical Spanish beach resorts. But overall good for a short break.

    Can Pastilla is a very peaceful town with a large, beautiful beach and many great places to walk. The promenade to Palma is perfect for running. Unlike Palma, it’s quiet and relaxing, with excellent restaurants. Highly recommended!

    The staff were lovely, hotel clean.

    The staff were lovely, hotel clean. You had to pay for the safe in your room . We were half board , breakfast ok , evening meals were cold and under cooked even though the food was on a hot plate ! Lots of complaints about the food from other guests and like us we ended up eating out !! Holiday was not cheap

    Cala dor is a beautiful place with so many beautiful cove beaches Esmeralda very pretty It’s such a safe place everyone is chilled out and relaxed just such a lovely atmosphere everywhere Marina is stunning and beautiful foid our favourite was portofina restaurant staff are very friendly and food is lovely we found marina cheaper to eat than the square as well Maddison’s bar nice atmosphere in the evenings Everything is in walking distance square and marina 5 min walk apart from each other there are lots of hotels in Cala dor situated around the square Just loved Cala dor and will def go back

    The area was lively yet peaceful enough to relax. There were restaurants and parties in the evenings, but it never felt overcrowded – just the right number of people. The scenery was truly breathtaking.

    We didn’t realise before we booked that Santa Ponsa is...

    We didn’t realise before we booked that Santa Ponsa is popular with groups of boys and girls on party holidays. It’s such a short trip to Magaluf that they seem to stay in Santa Ponsa and get a cab into Magaluf. Because of this a lot of bars are very busy and geared towards groups of young lads/girls. We didn’t find it a major issue however one to bear in mind for a family holiday.
