Clean, tidy, charming. In a lovely quiet traditional small village. Host was excellent. Food (menu de jour) was great. And wine recommendations (local champagne and a red) were perfect. Sadly we had to leave early so didn’t get to sample breakfast.

Les Cabottes is a little bit of a different but very pleasant experience but can absolutely be recommended 👍 It’s located a little bit outside Beaune, in a village called Change. The rooms are beautiful and delicious home made food is served in a picnic basket either to enjoy in the room or on your trip around the countryside. Felix and Alexane, the owners, will take good care of you.

Little hotel, it felt as a family house. The bed was comfortable, magnficent garden. It was quiet you can sleep with the window open. The staff was discreet but efficient and helpfull. I never had such a good breakfast.

    This was our third stay, and the hotel upgraded us to a garden suite which was a beautiful spacious room that allowed us to have a private garden access for our dog. When we made the decision to extend our stay for another week, the gentleman at reception was so helpful and accommodating in arranging the cleaners to prioritise our new room to be cleaned first, enabling us to seamlessly transfer to our new room before we even checked out of our former one. The breakfast and dinners are always high quality and the staff overall are very jovial, attentive and helpful, with so many individuals standing out as going above and beyond in every way. This is truly appreciated.

Very welcoming towards dogs as well and you may even bring acwell-behaved dog to the restaurant/bar. Visited during November, so not really outdoor weather, however the garden and pool looked great. Good parking facilities. The Breakfast had many delicious options to choose between.

    Nothing to fault. We have been coming to this hotel for more than 30 years, for the location on the main square of Puligny-Montrachet, warm atmosphere and good food.     What an amazing place to stay. Definitely requires a car, but that worked for us. We chose this because it was dog-friendly, and how lucky we were to find it!     My husband and I loved our stay at the Chateau de Gilly. The Chateau is very beautiful and close to other attractions in Burgundy like the Clos de Vougeot and Maison Moillard.     I like the small town vibe which is a relaxing trip. Follow the owl trail to see all the important sights. Bonus is that we went to 3 wonderful museums for free. How generous of Dijon to offer that to all! You can walk everywhere in the center. Try the different Dijon mustard.

    We arrived in Beaune at 5pm on day 1 and stayed there for 3 nights, Day 2 we did a morning wine tasting in and spent the rest of the day in Dijon. Day 3 we had a whole day in Beaune which is probably enough to explore the grand 'Hospices De Beaune' (to do this probperly can take a whole morning as there is lots to learn about the history of the building) and walk around the cobbled streets

    We stop in Nuits St Georges on drives from UK to South of France. Its perfectly mid way, great location from the motorway and has plenty to offer. The town center has been updated since our last trip and the mix of traditional architecture and modern stone and fountains in the center of town work well together. There are a number of bars and we sat at a really great bar with a fabulous vibe drinking great draught beer and people watching. After the long drive from Calais to Nuits St George we decided to skip a restaurant and hit the local Carrefour supermarket for wine and picnic items, but, in the past we've eaten at local restaurants and there are plenty to chose from. Great place to stop, relax and rewind for the onward journey.

    Loved that the breakfast was buffet as I had a hungry toddler with me. The fact that you can choose when to have your room cleaned was superb. Supermarket and bus stop few minutes away which was so convenient. How they have a 24hr machine to check you in even at 3am (my flight was delayed had no issues getting into my room) which was a big bonus!👍🏾

    I was en route between the south of France and the UK and Dijon was a convenient stop over. I found the hotel on the Booking.com website and it fitted my needs for a room and a meal after a long drive. It is a few kilometres from the centre of Dijon but on a main road to the city. The staff at reception and the restaurant made me feel welcome and the room was clean and well presented as were the public areas. I had a quiet and comfortable night's sleep in spite of it being at the time of the July heatwave. The facility was as described, it is not fancy but was more than adequate for my purposes.

    We used this hotel for an overnight stay on our way from Belgium to Spain. We arrived late and the hotel staff deposited the room keys in a special place for us. Very handy for late arrivals. The next day, I forgot the charger of my electric tooth brush in the bathroom and the staff was extremely helpful to find it back and help me recover it with the help of some friends of mine who stayed at the hotel a couple of days later. Very friendly service and ideal place for our purposes.

I say take a a late night walk through the city with the open empty pedestrian streets and no humans around. Quite impressive. But nah..not much else. Good afternoon stopover. Furthermore Dijon needs to let go of their co-dependent relationship with mustard. The seeds are no longer grown there. :) They are imported.

    Considered staying in Dijon, but happy to have chosen Beaune...

    Considered staying in Dijon, but happy to have chosen Beaune. Beaune doesn’t have the bigger city feel like Dijon, which was exactly what we were looking for. Easy access to many wineries without struggling with city traffic.
