However, it was only a short walk from a main transportation hub (Lá Défense), therefore we could easily get to any destination and back with public transportation, and the room was very clean. We also asked in advance whether any sort of AC or fan would be available in the room, as we were expecting high temperatures in the end of July. While the initial answer we received from the hotel was no, there actually was a small fan in the wardrobe when we arrived. Whether it was there because of our question or not, we are grateful. A big pharmacy and restaurant on the corner of the hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and know English well. The hotel is very clean and comfort. The interior is relatively new and very cozy, providing a welcoming atmosphere. Although the rooms and bathrooms are small, this is expected given the hotel's location in a historical building. A significant advantage is its proximity to the rail station, which allows for a quick commute to the Saint-Lazare station. The continental breakfast was tasty and satisfying. There are places round the corner for groceries. Paris has got several interesting places to visit for the whole family. Puteaux is beautiful, clean, safe and quiet. It is a lovely place to sit with coffee and watch the world go by if you want a break from the crowds of Paris city centre. Room was great, flat was great and we were very welcomed. There is a huge balcony with jacuzzi (at the right time of the year). The kitchen is superb, high specs everywhere. Car parking was a blessing, although getting into the parking has been a bit of a nightmare. This was also due to us arriving a few hours earlier than expected so we had to follow instructions via mobile phone and video clips (clever). It was 1 of a few area's that claimed to be wheelchair friendly and actually was , unlike many others . As a loan woman I felt safe in the area , which had local market shops , pharmacy and many different varieties of restaurants and bars all within a short walk away .The only improvement that I felt could be made was a dishcloth in the room for guests to wash up and the floor area could of been cleaner ( it wasn't a problem just an observation) . I highly recommend Au Cadran Bleu , just 2 streets away , fantastic food served after 6pm until late every day lovely cocktails ( the bar is open in the day just not the kitchen ) the staff have a great sense of humour.. We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, primarily because of its proximity to la Défense arena, where we were attending a concert. The location was ideal being about 15 minutes easy walk from the venue. The area itself was heavily populated by students and a lot of the eateries were geared towards this clientele. However, we ate in a close by bistro called the marquerite on both nights of our stay and it was good. Gare du nord Paris is very accessible from the nearby train station with just one transfer.
