We love visiting Malaucene.
We love visiting Malaucene. The cycling in the area is fantastic and it's easy to drive to other places such as Arles, Avignon, Orange. We ate at a variety of restaurants, all pretty good - The Blueberry, Chez Max and The Terrace are our favourites.Guest review byJacquelineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I was in Bedoin for a cycling trip and to be fair, you never have enough time on a cycling trip. The town has a classical French vibe and there are plenty of places to eat and just people watch. There are also a lot of souvenir shops and places to but the special mementos to bring home. The surrounding countryside is filled with breathtaking vistas of vineyards, and the lavender fields in Sault are a short drive.Guest review bySteve Mc DonaldIreland - 8.0
It is a lovely town with very good restaurants.
It is a lovely town with very good restaurants. In the centre, there is the L'Imguimbertine, a library/museum, unique in France and very interesting, well worth a visit. It is also close to Mont Ventoux (of Tour de France fame), Avignon, Orange and a host of other tourist spots.Guest review byAndrewFrance - 10.0

A beautiful hotel with lovely rooms, beautiful food and views. We spent time exploring the small town and by the pool. They have a honour system with drinks which is a great idea. The breakfast was really nice (try the orange cake!). Loved our time.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

It's a lovely village, with all the essential shops, lovely boulangeries with delicious breads, cakes and pastries, cafes and restaurants. Market day is Tuesday. There's a trail of information boards to follow around the village giving you an in-sight to it's history and a charming old church. It's a 10 minute drive to Carpentras to the south, or around 1 hour to go to the top of Mont Ventoux. You pass by Lac du Paty which has lots of walking and picnic areas. The lake itself is nothing special, but nice for cooling dip. There are lots of places to stop on the way up to the top of the mountain for walks and pic-nics. The sunrise at the top of the mountain is spectacular. Go for around 5:30am to see the sun rise at 5:55 (June). It's freezing up there so take warm clothing. Drive down the other side of the mountain and you'll go through the most charming old villages. There are so many sites to see in and around Caromb, it's a task to know what to choose to do. If you do go out to sight see, do it as early as possible as most attractions get overwhelmed with tourists.Guest review byJenniferUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Probably the best little town in the area.
Probably the best little town in the area. Lively, with lots of shops, market and plenty of restaurant choice. Perfect location for cycling the wine valleys and Mont Ventoux, and around 6 cycle shops to get kit and bike service etc. Cost wise its very reasonable (not held hostage for price like other resorts)Guest review byKevinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It was my second visit to Bédoin, and I was there before to cycle up the Mont Ventoux, staying somewhere else in the neighbourhood. It is a very charming village, cosy and busy. Lots of cyclists (I am one of them).Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Great for visiting the surrounding countryside, particularly the imposing and formidable Mont Ventoux; if you like open-water swimming in lakes, there are many possibilities near Carpentras, which is what attracted me there. The old town has been nicely restored and maintained.Guest review byian keith - 10.0
A typically French small hillside village.
A typically French small hillside village. A couple of very good restaurants with fantastic views of Mt Ventoux and surrounding countryside. Very quiet and not a lot of shops but that adds to the charm.Guest review bycharmaineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

There are a number of restaurants, from the chic to the every-day. There are cafes and bars. But not every establishment is open every day, so it's best to check and book. The medieval village, with its old gate and walls, is interesting. The late Romanesque parish church, the largest in Vaucluse, is worth a visit. The nearby village of Beduoin has a large vibrant market on Mondays.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom
