- From US$155.91 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.1Good - What previous guests thought, 2,509 reviewsI was very pleased with the choice of this hotel. It exceeded my expectations. I came for the Cambridge debates and it turned out that I was only 10 minutes away from the venue. I had a beautiful room overlooking the park and a beautiful sunset was right in front of me. A river, a bridge. I love such quiet places away from the noisy tourist streets. The hotel was well decorated for Christmas, and at breakfast there was a beautiful terrace. Everything was very clean and wonderful, helpful people work there. And yes, it was very nice to have the care taken of my stay - I was sent a very nice letter with offers from the hotel. Such a good feeling that you will be met here as you shouldGuest review byAlionaLatvia
- From US$181.60 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,761 reviewsThe location is really great—the hotel is located in the heart of the city, simply next to the gorgeous Ely Cathedral, which I could see out of my room window! The room was very clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed. At night, it was very quiet, which is great as I am very sensitive to loud sounds. I really like the style of the hotel, so for people who like a more homelike and cosy style, this hotel is the best!Guest review byNataliiaIceland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 20 reviewsIt was something different to anywhere we’ve stayed before, they had everything we needed, as it turnt out we’d bought our own cleaning products and tea coffee and sugar but it was all there so we wouldn’t have needed to! The bottle of Prosecco on arrival was a really lovely touch! Our nephew loved the ps3 and it was great there were board games! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!Guest review byCharlotteUnited Kingdom

At just 30 mins. from Stansted it seemed a convenient place to visit before flying home. We could have stopped longer. There are numerous small but very interesting museums, many I hope to see on return visits. We did visit the Fitzwilliam museum, which features an art collection organized thematically rather than chronologically, and mixes up works by artists such as Constable, Turner, Degas, Monet, Canaletto and Dutch Masters. We also visited Anglesea Abbey, one of several NT properties in the area.Guest review byRogerItaly - 10.0

Ely is a compact city and the sights can be seen is a day. The jewel is undoubtedly the cathedral which is stunning. We ascended the octagon tower which is a 'must'. A riverside walk is also very worthwhile.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The Town centre is full of drunks on benches at all hours of the day. There are reports of high crime compared to other towns in Cambridgeshire. It has a number of things to see such as the Wisbech and Fenland Museum, Peckover House, Elgood's Brewery and Gardens(open every Thursday) and Octavia Hill's birthplace, who was one of the founders of the National Trust.Guest review byTimUnited Kingdom - 4.0

Gone down-hill in the last few years and no decent shops. As with most small towns, completely overtaken with charity shops, vape shops and barbers.....a real shame as we used to love a stroll into the townGuest review byALEXANDERUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Clean. Spacious room overlooking barley fields. Friendly staff and a tasty breakfast buffet that was all a traveller would need. Excellent value and good to know the Old Great North Road =B1043 which is clue how to get there! We ate authentic Indian cuisine at the Resto next door and took good Value diesel at the 24/7 pumps also next door.Guest review byMrs L LUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Quirky hotel 500 years old.
Quirky hotel 500 years old. Locality - central to village- close to Grantham water and Buckden Towers. Basic room. The hotel requires an upgrade but its architecture is great. The plumbing is a challenge. Overall I enjoyed my stay.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom - 10.0
A beautiful calm place, ideal if you are a nature lover.
A beautiful calm place, ideal if you are a nature lover. Also excellent if you are interested in art and history - two medieval churches and one chapel, all of them within a walking distance. The most famous attraction is certainly IWM Duxford with the stunning aircraft collection - and it really is breathtaking. However, there's so much more Duxford has to offer!Guest review byDominikaPoland
