- From US$284.51 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,306 reviewsValue for money relationship for such a fairy tale property is perfect. This hotel dates back to early 17th century, when you are inside, you have the feeling you're back in time. It even has a chapel. The decoration, well kept from those times, leaves you speachless. Staff was really friendly and professional, dinner and breakfast really good. Another positive point goes to the gym. It was almost bigger and with more gear than my own one.Guest review byEliana IT/ARGItaly
- From US$174.88 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 2,117 reviewsExcellent stay at the The Boathouse Inn. We stayed one night in a very comfy, clean and quiet double room with a private bathroom. We came by car and it's literally 5 minutes away from the Old Town, so location wise it was really convenient. We could eat in the restaurant for a reasonable price. Overall it was a great experience and I recommend it to everyone who wants a quiet place and not too far away from town.Guest review byAlan WirtzArgentina

Lovely place , nice places to eat, nice pubs , nice shops , get the train to Manchester or Liverpool we got the train to Conwy Castle for the day takes an hour lovely, great zoo, get a hotel in the centre otherwise your paying for a taxi , hotels charge for parking some aren't cheap so if your out of town it works expensive. I went to Crewe to see the local area.
I went to Crewe to see the local area. I visited Nantwich and Sandbach. Nantwich is a lovely small town, and Sandbach is a bit bigger, both lovely to visit. The Market in Nantwich is lovely to visit, and there are a couple of National Trust places we didn't have enough time to visit, but we will do next time.Guest review byTessUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A very convenient location for visiting some great National Trust properties which we had never visited (Dunham Massey, Tatton, Lyme). We enjoyed Knutsford also, eating in the hotel and a variety of restaurants in the town.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Wilmslow is a perfect place to visit Quarry Bank Mill and Alderley Edge. Alderely Edge has great views of the Cheshire Plain and folklore around the wizard, Merlin. both are within walking distance of Wilmslow. Many good pubs and restaurants, there is a local cinema and leisure centre, plus a park called the Carrs with its own beach.Guest review byElisabethUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The venue is amazing.
The venue is amazing. The glass venue at the front of hotel is an eye catching attraction. The actual dining area is spacious with very comfortable seating. The bar staff are very polite and accommodating. I sat relaxing in the bar whilst my husband had a little shut eye, as he had driven most of the way from East Sussex.Guest review byrosellenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Steeped in history and absolutely lovely friendly locals👍. Came to the area for a friend’s wedding which was at the town hall, and as self catering didn’t really eat out much as only stayed a few days. Would love to come back and use as a base for more exploring of the area.Guest review bySoniaUnited Kingdom - 6.0

The staff tried to please . My sister who had travelled from Australia wasn’t allowed to check in early despite the room being available without paying 15.00 Drinks pricey and others put on my account Very noisy and several guests complained overnight with noise till gone 2am The hotel itself is good food fine but limited choice re salads and lighter menu optionsGuest review byjudithUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Lighting in room was poor.
Lighting in room was poor. Not much room between sink and bath and almost fell backwards into the bath. Slightly unpleasant old cigarette smell in ground floor areas but not in the restaurant or bedroom. Comfortable bed and bedroom. Food in restaurant was good. Dont bother having porridge for breakfast as it wasnt cooked long enough. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great ambiance.Guest review byAnonymous
