- From $161.11 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,681 reviewsI had a superb experience at Mary Mount Hotel! The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, always going out of their way to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, which added a magical touch to our visit. Being so close to Keswick made it incredibly convenient for exploring the area, yet the hotel itself felt like a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. The combination of excellent service, stunning views, and a prime location made this an unforgettable stay. Highly recommended!Guest review byCarolineUnited Kingdom
- From $415.15 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 242 reviewsStunningly set accommodation, beautiful gardens and surroundings which adds so much charm- especially with all the bunnies and wildlife around. The hotel itself had a lot of character, the room had plenty space, a bath and a roof terrace. There wasn’t one member of staff that wasn’t warm and friendly with us which again, really helps to feel at home. The spa being included was really the cherry on top. Indoor and outdoor pool as well as sauna, jacuzzi and steam. It was hard to pack up and leave the next day!Guest review byJennaUnited Kingdom

Visited in early October...town was humming in daytime, and reasonably busy at night. Didn't feel like holidaying out of season. Lots of outdoor shops, cafe's, pubs and cafes, all seemed very friendly. Ate in both pubs and local restaurant. Very helpful tourist Information with lots of maps etcGuest review byAllanUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The pebble beach is nice. The village is nice, but it’s not somewhere that you would visit unless visiting people or going to the beach. There is a post office and a couple of pubs, We had lunch in the Manor, which was nice.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Calder House Hotel looked to have great views out to sea with a fabulous beach. We experienced a tired run down establishment with a ‘couldn’t be bothered’ staff attitude. Dismissive and inattentive, we would never go back.Guest review byWendyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A quaint little Georgian town on the edge of the Lake District, with a scenic harbour. The Rum Story & Jefferson's Shop is a must see and The Beacon Museum is definitely worth a visit. You can walk on the pier all the way to the end, be careful in bad weather, the block floor is not even. Lots of nice buildings around, many have seen better days but worth a walk around the town. The courtyard and gardens at the little church on Lowther Street are very scenic. The waters in the Queens Dock are an orange colour from the iron leaking in, certainly makes it unique and memorable (investigations into resolving it are underway). The Former Wellington Pit site gives a great view over the town. Lots of local pubs around, I must give a special mention to The Vagabond bar / restaurant, probably the best pizzas we've ever tasted anywhere.Guest review byGregoryUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Great little place if you want to stay a night after a big walk very cozy and comfortable the weather wasn’t amazing when we were there but added to the cosiness, of the little Shepherds hut hearing the rain outside had a great time. Would stay again.Guest review byNinaUnited Kingdom
