- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 1,550 reviewsWe stayed for 3 nights - 4 adults and 3 young kids and we had a wonderfull vacation. The place is amazing. The house was big, clean and had everything you need for a long stay - big livingroom, long big table, full kithcen with dishwasher, 2 bathrooms and showers, washing maching and also a sauna and a balcony. The 3 bedrooms were big and comfortable. The place has free pool, gym and souna which is great, especially when you are with kids. Also great fields and grass for the kids to play. Wifi was good and ofcourse free parking. Location is also great near Avimor, easy base to travel around.Guest review byadiIsrael
- From US$106.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.1Good - What previous guests thought, 2,941 reviewsThe location was excellent. Right next to the train and bus station. Lots of restaurants around. The room was cosy and nice. The bathroom was big, and everything was cleaned every day. There was a problem with the bolier the first morning, but theybsort it out fairly quickly during the day, and after that, everything worked jurt fine, and heating in the room was perfect. Breakfast was great because it was buffet style and had a wide selection of food, including vegetarian options The hotel is old, but I think that it is pretty well maintained, and it has its own charm. I would stay here again.Guest review byAlejandra Espinoza CChile
- From US$730.22 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,134 reviewsOur stay was absolutely amazing! The place was so peaceful, clean, and perfect for relaxation. The hospitality was outstanding — we truly felt welcomed. There was also a food truck nearby serving halal burgers, which were incredibly delicious! The jacuzzi was a great touch; the water was hot and ready at all times. Breakfast was a bit limited, but everything we tried was fresh and very tasty. Highly recommended for a calm and cozy getaway!Guest review byBushraSaudi Arabia
- From US$147.11 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 5,308 reviewsOoh boy was this one a pleasant surprise in Inverness. Another on the fly booking on our road trip, only to end up staying in what amounted to a surprisingly luxurious room above a 10/10 restaurant. Do try the lamb and the slow cooked beef dishes, they're finger licking good - and don't forget to try the whisky! We took some home too, it was that good.Guest review byAlina CasapuRomania

Inverness is very central to interesting places to visit.
Inverness is very central to interesting places to visit. There are plenty of restaurants in Inverness within easy walking distance. We particularly enjoyed Johnny Foxes. If you do not have a car, there is a convenient train station and bus station (both of which we used) We visited Balmoral, Cairngorms, Aviemore - they were all excellentGuest review byJohn RosevearUnited Kingdom - 10

Fort William is a lovely little town with a beautiful Loch, it is a bit touristy for my liking but there are so many wonderful things to do in or near by that it is well worth a stay here. The museum in the town is a treat, Inverlochy castle is a little treasure. The Nevis range cable car is a must, the views at the top are breathtaking and not to be missed. Also nearby is The Glenfinnan monument & viaduct, again absolutely beautiful views & an absolute must. There is more but we had a limited time.Guest review byRuth - 8.0

We've stayed at the hotel before. Places within easy reach are Corrieshalloch Gorge, Inverness, Fort George, Brodie Castle, Culloden Battlefield, Ruthven Barracks, Loch Garten, Cairngorm mountain railway, the Highland village at Newtonmore, Landmark Forest adventure Park and the Highland wildlife park an Kincraig. There are many other sites to visit too such as Chanonry Point to see the wild dolphins.Guest review byFRANCISUnited Kingdom - 10
Great walks and hikes.
Great walks and hikes. We are an older couple and did the Fairy Pools, the Old Man of Storr, and Scorrybraec circular loop from Portree. We also did a wildlife cruise which was fun and saw eagles, seals and dolphins. Visited historic Dunvegan castle We loved a dinner we had at the Dulce and Rose restaurant at The Bosville Hotel in Portree. There were 2 coops where we shopped for food. There was so much more to do but sadly ran out of time.Guest review byMANDEAustralia - 8.0

A small town with facilities as needed. A good base to explore Skye - we were travelling from ferry in Uist and broke our long drive for one night. We visited the wildlife hide nearby - the area is great for marine wildlife.Guest review byGordziejkoUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Lovely little shops to walk in and out of.
Lovely little shops to walk in and out of. You get to watch the loch in action with the four levels the boats have to go through to get to the next section. This is very interesting and a good place to watch this. There are many walks you can do along the Loch which are very picturesque.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Thurso still feels a generally friendly town.
Thurso still feels a generally friendly town. The Visitors Centre was excellent, very helpful friendly staff, with advice, directions and postcards. The beach is lovely, and the castle very picturesque, though I have no idea if you can go round it as it is on the opposite side of a long inlet and I wasn't about to walk all the way round there on the off-chance. Good amount of shops, and seemingly banks still in the town. YNot offers expensive but good quality food. If you want a walk, or have a car, the Ferry Inn in Scrabster is a great place to eat too.Guest review byJonathanUnited Kingdom - 10
I found Kyle of Lochalsh really friendly.
I found Kyle of Lochalsh really friendly. The hotel I stayed in was amazing and the staff ultra helpful. The cafe I had baked potato, chicken mayo and cheese in was really nice and friendly, the food amazing. The gift shop beginning with O was lovely and I bought a couple of necessities for the rest of my holiday (scarf and beanie). The Islanders pub in the evening was really fun atmosphere and a good mix of locals and tourists.Guest review byJonathanUnited Kingdom - 10
