The hotel was lovely, staff really friendly. The breakfast was delicious and to a high quality. The room itself was spacious, clean and well equipped for a family of 4. The beer garden out the back had a brilliant kids play area also. Location was perfect and a very short walk to the sea front.

We had a lovely stay in the Hare and Hounds. The room is charming and has recently been redecorated. It's very tastefully decorated, and the bathroom was very clean and spacious. The pub is also very nice, with a contemporary feel. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in the pub, and we found both excellent. Staff is friendly, the service was good, and I would say both accommodation and food are very good value for money. The location is good, with parking at the front. We also found some nice paths to walk our dogs in the surroundings. The dog friendliness is very much appreciated by us dog owners! A big thank you to the team in the Hare and Hounds for their kindness, and warm and welcoming service.

The location was perfect for our stop-over, enroute from Germany, where we live, to visit family in Scotland. Less than 10 minutes drive from the M6. The staff were welcoming... before dinner, we enjoyed an aperitif sitting by a lovely open fire. For dinner we enjoyed delicious roast beef & yorkshire pudding! Breakfast was perfect, served by a very nice, friendly, local lady. The Inn has lots of traditional character which we love.

Preston is a great hub for exploring this part of the north west. Well-connected by train - and by bus from the iconic bus station. And a great place to come back to to eat, drink and wander around. The newly re-furbished Harris is brilliant - especially if you have children and/or are a Wallace and Gromit fan. For urban flâneurs like us, Preston is a great place to go. There are plenty of interesting buildings, old and new, industrial history and pleasant residential areas to explore. A multicultural vibe plus a university mean there's life going on too.

Lytham is a lovely little town on the Fylde coast. Nice shops, lovely bars and restaurants. Recommend Loungers restaurant for brunch, Apricot for dinner and The Lytham Kitchen for breakfast. Whelands Fish and chips are super. Toms Tasty Lancs cheese is a must! Booths - Waitrose of the North! Tiggis in St Annes for traditional Italian food & pizza!

Some impressive old buildings in the city centre, and a lively shopping area without the (sad) usual proportion of empty shops. With more time, we would visit the Lakes, the Yorkshire Dales (both of which we know and appreciate well) and Bowland, which is unexplored territory for us and conveniently close. Looking forward to re-visiting our granddaughter and perhaps in spring/summer showing her some of these places.

I liked it because the views are stunning and that it was a running farm. What, in my opinion, was the hard pillows. I used the bath towels as pillows. I think there should be a choice of hard or soft pillows.

Lovely hotel, good location, we booked it as a base to get into Barnoldswick. Easy to book a taxi into Barnoldswick. The bar was well stocked and managed. The hotel served food until 9pm, we however only had breakfast there. Breakfast was good, self service in the bar area. Room 1 was very small not really for a couple, more suited to single room. Only one side table and one chair. Shower cubicle a bit small. Room 22 ( our riends room) however was large and 2 double beds !
