Great central location, shops and city centre within walking distance. Secure car park. Really friendly, cheerful and helpful staff on reception - Marie and Pierce in particular. Given the city centre location, If you prefer a quieter room ask for one at the back of the property. Highly recommended and would stay again.

The best hotel I stayed at during my 3-week tour of England and Scotland! The price of the room was very reasonable and it is beautifully done. A room designed with taste. There is nothing to complain about this place. I will definitely book it again during my next visit to Loughborough. Didn't manage to eat at the restaurant though but the food looked food.

Cannot fault this hotel at all to be honest. If you get a good price on one of these rooms it’s excellent value for a great sized room. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is at your disposal. The main thing about this property is its friendly vibe as the staff are always amazingly helpful and extremely pleasant to deal with.

We loved the mash-up of cultures in Leicester and had some delicious food on the famous Golden Mile. The Cathedral quarter and Lanes contain a large variety of independent shops, cafes and restaurants and all were within walking distance of our hotel. Like any city there were areas of deprivation, but the City had a relaxed and friendly feel and we felt right at home.

We were pleased with the friendly and helpful staff on duty, after a delayed flight. We used to to live in Loughborough until we moved to London 25 years ago. Our daughter and our grandchildren live in Shepshed. So we obviously spend time in Loughborough when we can. Probably 5/6 times a a year. When we both retire, we'll probably move back.

We had dinner at pizzeria inferno, it was really the highlight. Service was great and had some seafood linguini that I am still thinking about, a week on. The town itself is as unremarkable as any town in the midlands. The current politics' events had it also covered in Union Jacks and St. George's Crosses. If that's your thing, you are in for a treat. No wonder Frodo and Sam preferred to walk for months into Mordor, to get out of the shire.

Pretty little market town. More upmarket than I was expecting with high-end fashion shops. Museum was interesting and there are lots of places to eat - from Spoons to Thai, Turkish and Tapas! We drove out several days to the Crick Boat Show, Rockingham Castle and some of the civil war battlefields.

My favorite place was Saint Mary's Church (Attention: only open from 12 to 2!!) with the monument of Wycliffe, the painings and its very special atmosphere. The exposition in HIGH POINT is very interesting too because of Wycliffe. I made a nice walk along the river Swift where Wycliffes bones have been burnt about 600 years ago. When you stay at Grey Hound Inn (with its great history) eating doesn't need te be a problem. They have everything for reasonable prices.

Picturesque, quiet and relaxing location for those who just need a pared-back and restful experience. This is a great place for lovely country drives, and accessible to other locations and cities if you need to get to them. The town is quiet and has amenities, shops, restaurants and whatever you may need during your stay. Friendly people make the experience much more pleasant and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway or a relaxing retreat.
