we had an amazing 4-day stay at The Social Hub in Glasgow. The quality of the property truly exceeded my expectations, with its tasteful and modern decor creating a welcoming and stylish atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring restful nights after long days exploring the city. The location couldn’t be better—central and convenient for accessing everything Glasgow has to offer. Despite being in such a prime spot, the room was wonderfully quiet, allowing for uninterrupted relaxation. Highly recommended! The attention to detail in every aspect of the experience was impeccable, from the friendly staff to the well-maintained amenities. This hotel combines comfort, style, and functionality perfectly, making it an excellent choice for any traveler. I look forward to returning in the future!

FAQs about hotels in Scotland

A Rugged Jewel

With round-top mountains and green hills extending in almost every direction, and stone houses dotted around, Scotland is a jewel of nature forged by ice, winds and seas over thousands of years. But Scotland is much more than beautiful landscapes: it’s the finest malt whiskies in Moray County, the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, the kilts and the bagpipes, the exciting and modern Glasgow, and much more!

The country can be divided into 3 areas. The Highlands and Islands have mountainous landscapes and numerous bodies of fresh water, including Loch Lomond and Loch Ness, as well as little cities like Inverness and numerous islands like the Isle of Skye. Don’t miss the deals on Booking.com if you’re looking for hotels in the Scottish Highlands.

The Central Lowlands are the most densely inhabited area, and with Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen located in this part of Scotland, 5-star hotels are common here.

The Southern Uplands are composed of a range of hills and valleys stretching almost 200 kilometres, home to several hotels with a spa - a relaxed option to enjoy this area.

As some of the more unusual Scotland hotels, castles can be a particularly good option to enjoy a Scotland holiday in royal style.

I’m from Glasgow but haven’t lived there for many years. Great parks, great shops. Always something going on. Amazing pubs everywhere. Some with traditional musicians and theatre sessions (Oran Mor for “a play, a pie and a pint) Glasgow has a buzz of energy. Centuries of fascinating history, stories, legends. And you’re a couple of hours away from breathtaking natural beauty if you head north.

Oban is our place to catch a ferry to the islands and where we land on return. It is a busy town, the harbour and Dunollie being our chief interest the short time we are there, watching the ferries and other vessels sailing off or returning to harbour is always a pleasure. As such it always has an air of excitement about it, the anticipation of a ferry journey amongst and to beautiful islands. Therefore it is always a pleasure to be in Oban.
