Very buzzy place.
Very buzzy place. A diverse range of people , fashion wise anything goes ! Good shopping centre , the Lanes has a oldie worldie feel to it , a nice atmosphere. Musicians and singers seem common in most of the pubs and some resturants . Beach is pebbly , plenty of people were swimming , didn't seem to put them off .Guest review byCheeseman - 10.0
Nice town, excellent cafes and pubs.
Nice town, excellent cafes and pubs. Interesting tour bus, lots of nice drop of points to see, specially beachy head and seven sisters. Not too pricey either and the ticket lasts for 24 hours. I believe it was about £10, I am a senior. Nice sea front good public transport. Hastings Rye and Brighton all easy to get too and more.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Spotlessly clean room. Easy to book in. A longish walk to our room and a lift was available to take us down to the right corridor. Staff helpful in both bar and restaurant. Friendly people, smiling faces.
Friendly people, smiling faces. Very historic and amazing views from the Castle especially. 9 pubs within a 3 minute walk, all serving food. A plethora of restaurants, my favourite being Rustico which sells delicious Pastas and Pizzas. Fantastic bus services to and from surrounding towns and villages, stretching from Eastbourne to Brighton. Good train services and fast ones to London.Guest review byTim StephensSpain - 2.0
We were booked for one night in Bexlet.
We were booked for one night in Bexlet. The accommodation was awful. The bed linen, sheets, duvet and pillows were all damp and the heater did not work. The access was extremely difficult. The male contact by phone was not interested in our complaints. We decided it would be inadvisable to stay, as my husband had just recovered from pneumonia. We were lucky to manage to book in to another hotel which was excellent although it cost us £160 extra, We had stayed there before through Booking.com. For Bexlet I would give them zero out of ten and I still cannot believe that Booking, com could have actually checked out that accommodation. Dreadful.Guest review byJaneUnited Kingdom - 4.0

Battle is a pretty little town and very compact.
Battle is a pretty little town and very compact. The Abbey and battle ground is good to see as it is a major part of this country's history. However, if you opt to walk around the battlefield make sure you make use of the free audio guide as this brings the history to life as opposed to just looking at a field. The Abbey/battlefield and town can be done in a day, but it is a good idea to have an overnight stay so that you can pace yourself and fully enjoy the place.Guest review byPantelisUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Ticehurst is like visiting another world.
Ticehurst is like visiting another world. It is a quirky and relaxing with interesting art shops and the most amazing cafe called 'The Greedy Goat'. The owner is just lovely and the food was the best and great value. Definitely recommend visiting Ticehurst. The residents are so friendly.Guest review byAnneUnited Kingdom
