- From US$334.95 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 7,525 reviewsThe service from the staff was excellent - we were staying with our 6 month old baby and my elderly father and they did their utmost to make our stay as comfortable as possible, despite our various requirements (washing baby bottles daily, having to bring some breakfast for my dad at York Hospital). We had dinner twice at The Rise and although the first time we enjoyed an average meal, the second time, where we were a group of 13 for my graduation dinner, was fantastic.Guest review byKarineSeychelles
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,713 reviewsEverything was beautiful. The house was so beautiful. Immaculate. Location lovely facilities nice. Washing machine, at the property and and a dish washer was a luxury to say the least when having 7 for family dinner. It is beautiful for all ages, the swimming pool , sauna and steam room are lovely. The little arcade and shop, with an onsite pharmacy is so convenient. Takeaway wine is very pricey from the bar but they do a mean long island cocktail. XGuest review byJayUnited Kingdom

York Minster tour was more expensive than we had anticipated but it turned out to be really worthwhile. Loved the Shambles but surprised that most of it shut down by 5-6 pm. The Viking Museum was really very interesting and informative. It was my kind of museum with people to explain aspects and a short ride around the exhibition. Great!Guest review byFrederickAustralia - 10.0

Leeds is a city full of culture historic buildings and places and university. The areas near the river are getting more regeneration to make it attractive to locals and tourists. It’s buzzing with young people and night life. There’s a range of galleries and museums ,the library is a must visit . The variety of Restaurants and cafes offer satisfaction to all tastes and ages. I was pleasantly impressed with what Leeds has to offer. And the future is bright for this lovely city.Guest review bySamiaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

For over 60 years I have found the people of Sheffield the most welcoming population for my many enquiries over that time regarding 'where' places are in and around the city centre and the wider area and how to find them. Not only are they very helpful and welcoming BUT the number of residents who have offered to take me to a point where I could either see my destination OR see a significant landmark to reach/find my destination. It happened again this weekend - it always happpens and they are so reliable in their efforts, their care for people, it seems to come naturally to them to make visitors welcome ... notable and remarkable. Well done people of Sheffield and THANK YOU. The Bus Station/Interchange staff are similarly extremely helpful ... nothing is too much trouble. THANK YOU. My OAP Bus Pass/ENCTS Pass qualifies me for free travel on the Sheffield Trams but I live in the outskirts of Greater Manchester = TfGM area. Another 'plus' to add to the attraction of Sheffield. THANK YOU, Sheffield. This weekend, I explored the woderful Sheffield Round and today enjoyed Porter Valley in the glorious sunshine of the first day of Autumn - excellent cafe and staff and facilites at Forge Dam - I thoroughly recommend. THANK YOU to everybody at Forge Dam.Guest review byKathleen EdwardsUnited Kingdom - 10.0

No trip to Whitby is complete without climbing the 199 steps to the church at the top and then a wonder round the glorious Whitby abbey. Great little town, lots of independent shops & the best fish & chips in the world!Guest review bylouiseUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lovely place with lots of shops. We visited the cinema and Betty's while we were in Harrogate. Opposite the hotel were beautiful very well kept gardens. Unfortunately we weren't there long enough to visit other areas but will definitely visit again.Guest review byANNEUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Bradford is a city from the past, run down whilst attempting to be modern, too many tastes to please... Having said all that it is my CITY, I was born in a Bradford suburb went to school there and love it as the place of my birth and childhood. It used to be a proud City now it is a shadow of its former past. Why it can be considered as a 'City of culture' is beyond me... All its history and magnificence is compromised all its character has been replaced by extremist ideologies that DO NOT WORK in harmony and certainly are not on the same page. INCLUSIVITY intentions RESULTS IN EXCLUSIVITY in reality... Revisit history where you can, the Town hall is a very fine building, St Georges Hall and the Alhambra are steeped in history and grand days. The Midland Hotel and Great Victoria need returning to their splendid past, alas as with most things years of damage perhaps means that is impossible. What next 'decent public transport in and out of the city centre would certainly help!!!!Guest review byAlan & KateUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Bridlington is our favourite location come here every year. The people are great and so friendly. Good variety of shops and restaurants to suit all budgets. The East Riding of Yorkshire Council are simply the best and together with the SPA make a fantastic venue for our darts event every year. Great people to work with, nothing is too much trouble.
